Daily Roundup: March 13 Games

Rain once again plagued the state with only a handful of games being played last evening, many of which were played at out of town locations. Below is a look at scores and highlights from the action last evening.

Collierville 6, DeSoto Central (MS) 0

Alex Hicks went 3 for 3 with a triple and Parker Phillips went 2 for 2 with a home run to lead Collierville to the victory. Alex Johnson struck out six to pick up the win.

Sevier County 14, Oak Ridge 6

Garrett Gay went 2 for 4 with a home run to lead the Bears past the Wildcats. John Millett was 2 for 3 with a triple and Nathan Clabo was 2 for 2. Trevor Maples got the win with seven strikeouts.

Sevier County 9, CAK 5

Chas Hadden was 2 for 3 with a double and Nick Osborne was 1 for 1. John Millett picked up the win on the mound.

Volunteer 7, Morristown East 6

Wilmont was 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and Carter was 2 for 2 to lead Volunteer over the Hurricanes. Gray picked up the win on the mound.

Lexington 10, Westview 1

Small was 2 for 3 and Essary was 2 for 4 with a homerun. Odke was also 1 for 3 with a double. Meyer picked up the win on the mound.

Farragut 9, East Coweta (GA) 3

Carmelo Venero went 4 for 4 with an RBI, and Cole Morgan, Jake Hagenow, and Carson Strickland each added RBI doubles in the Farragut victory. Thomas Keyes struck out eight over four innings for the win on the mound.

Whitewater (GA) 2, Farragut 1

Patrick Raby had 10 strikeouts but it wasn’t enough to pick up the win for the Admirals. Chandler Chambers was 1 for 2 with a double.

Cherokee 6, Grainger  4

Daniel Owen went 2 for 4 with a double and Aaron Pratt was 2 for 3 to lead Cherokee past Grainger. Jacob Howard picked up the win on the mound.

McCallie 7, Cleveland 1

Tyler Payne and Matthew Brock both went 2 for 4 with a double and Quinn Smith went 3 for 4 to lead the Tornado offensive attack. Jackson Bell picked up the win on the mound.

Montgomery Bell Academy 10, Father Ryan 0

Brandon Bennett went 4 for 5 with a double and Cole Cross went 3 for 4 with two doubles. Will Allen picked up the win on the mound.
