Most Viewed Player Profiles of 2014: No. 8 Ethan Cady

By Doug Hall
Tennessee Director of Scouting

As you well know, PBR Tennessee began operations in 2014, and we felt it would be interesting to take a look at the ten most viewed Tennessee player profiles on the PBR website since we began operations.

Though we began scouting games and providing information on players in the late spring and early summer, we didn't run our first event in the state until August 24. Therefore, as we look at the ten most viewed profiles from 2014, it will only include profile views from August 24 to now.

No. 8 ethan cadycady
Cady, a 6-foot-1, 205-pound LHP/1B from McCallie HS impressed with two-way ability at the Fall Top Prospect Games Event at Lipscomb University on November 1.  At the plate, Cady showed he has the potential to be a middle-of-the-order left-handed bat at the next level.  He creates some lift with his swing and shows good extension through contact.  Cady recorded one of the better exit velocities of the event at 84 mph.  On the mound, Cady proved to be a very interesting prospect.  His fastball sat 80-84 mph with good arm-side run, and his curveball showed sharp 12/6 action that varied between 68-75 mph.  He worked two hitless innings while recording two strikeouts at the event.  Cady should be watched closely for velocity gains over the next several months.
