New York 2022 Initial Rankings Released

As we make our way into the 2019 baseball season, The 2022 class in New York is starting to take shape. We strive to provide 24/7, 365-day a week coverage of amateur baseball in NY. This past February we were fortunate enough to see several 2022 standouts during our preseason events which has helped us identify top players for these initial rankings. Let's take a deeper look at the top three. Top 50 list HERE.
Coming in at No. 1 is LHP Michael Kennedy (Troy HS). The athletic, greater Albany area south paw has a chance to be the real-deal on the mound. Athletic lean build, loose easy arm-actions with an above average feel for his breaking-ball. The fastball was up to 83 this past February but expect to see mid-upper 80's this June at the NYS Games.
No. 2 is Virginia commitment, MIF Henry Godbout (Poly Prep). Rangy MIF with above average hands, consistent barrel control in the box with signs of power once he fills-out and gains strength. Player to keep close eyes on as he develops.
Coming in at the No. 3 is RHP/SS Aidan Chamberlin (Corning HS). Chamberlin stands 6-foot-2, 170-pounds and is a recruiters dream. He's an athletic two-sport varsity starter as a Freshman with above average juice in the box from a fluid barrel path. On the mound the southern-tiers ceiling is lofty. Already up to 85 mph with signs of more in the tank. He will be on full display this June at the NYS Games.
