Loretto is off to a 17-3 start this season that includes a 9-0 record in District play. In fact, the Mustangs pitching staff has been lights out in recording six consecutive shut outs since last Monday. Left-hander Ryan Weathers fired one of those shut outs.
The sophomore, a University of Alabama commit, pitched a complete game, two-hit shutout in a 6-0 win over Perry County. Weathers pounded the strike zone in not issuing a single walk while racking up 17 strikeouts in the dominant effort.
For his outstanding performance on the field, Loretto 2018 LHP Ryan Weathers has been selected as the PBR Tennessee Pitcher of the Week for April 4-9.
