TN Diamond Notes: Week 6

The Tennessee Diamond Notes is a 2023 content piece that will focus on highlighting some top performances across the state based on nominations from high school coaches. We will highlight those positions players, pitchers and two-way players every Tuesday of the high school season that are deserving to be highlighted based on their performance.

For now, let's take a look at those players from across the state highlighted in this week's Tennessee Diamond Notes.
DIAMOND NOTES: APRIL 17-22

Easton Sullivan C / Greenfield, TN / 2026Was 7-11 with two doubles, two triples and four RBI at the plate for Greenfield. Recorded 13 strikeouts on the mound while only allowing two hits and no earned runs. |

Brooks Jones 3B / SS / Middle Tennessee Christian, TN / 2024Rankings StateRank: 42 / POS: 3
Jones was 8-13 (.615) at the plate in Week 6. Had a triple, three home runs, giving him five total on the season. Seven RBI's, seven runs and two stolen bases with a .625 OBP. Logged 1.1 innings of work on the mound, allowing no hits, no runs, no walks and picked up two punch outs in his save. |

England Bryan RHP / C / Middle Tennessee Christian, TN / 2024Rankings StateRank: 17 / POS: 5
The junior right hander tossed a six inning complete game for the MTCS, allowed no earned runs, one hit, and no walks while picking up 10 strikeouts. Bryan improves to 4-1 on the mound this season. |

Cayden King RHP / 1B / Middle TN Christian , TN / 2026Rankings StateRank: 25 / POS: 4
Pitched 2.1 innings of work, allowing no runs on just one hit, no walks and four strikeouts, is also 4-1 on the bump this season. Hit for a clip of .333 in Week 6 with a double, four RBI and scoring three runs. |

Ben Kauffman 1B / 3B / Cannon County, TN / 2025Was 5-9 (.556) with three home runs this past week for Cannon County. Had a pair of singles, 11 RBI's and scored four runs. Also reached base twice via a walk. |

Gray Eubanks 3B / OF / Huntingdon, TN / 2025Rankings StateRank: 47 / POS: 5
Eubanks hit for a solid .500 in Week 6, had a pair of doubles, a triple and four stolen bases. On the bump, logged 5.2 innings of work, had eight strikeouts in two appearances. |

Landon Dockery OF / RHP / Maryville, TN / 2023Rankings StateRank: 87 / POS: 9
The senior was 8-12 (.667) for Maryville in Week 6. Had a double, triple and home run with 11 RBI's, scored six runs, two stolen bases and reached once on a HBP. Got the win on the mound for Maryville this past week as well. |

Landis Davila 3B / OF / Farragut, TN / 2024Davila was 10-19 at the plate (.526), had four doubles, scored 10 total runs and picked up five RBI's. |

Stratton Scott RHP / 1B / Farragut, TN / 2024Rankings StateRank: 19 / POS: 6
Scott tossed a five inning no-hitter for Farragut this past week, only walking one and striking out six. |

Ashton Sulack LHP / Farragut , TN / 2023Rankings StateRank: 90 / POS: 16
Another strong performance from a Farragut arm, Sulack logged six innings of work, allowing no runs on four hits and collecting 11 punch outs, while allowing no walks. |

Henry Ford SS / 3B / Baylor School, TN / 2023Ford hit for .500 on the week (7-14), had three home runs and nine RBI's for Baylor in Week 6. |

Tomas Valincius LHP / 1B / Baylor, TN / 2024Rankings StateRank: 35 / POS: 3
Valincius is coming off another solid week at the plate where he was (6-11) with two home runs, and six RBI's. Jumped on the mound for five innings of work and helped Baylor to a 13-3 win last week as well. |

Jack Brafa RHP / 2B / South Gibson County, TN / 2023Rankings StateRank: 38 / POS: 12
The South Gibson County senior was 8-9 at the dish, had four singles, a pair of doubles, a triple, home run and seven RBI's. Scored six runs during the week with no strikeouts and reached on a HBP. |

Dominic Monaco LHP / OF / Brentwood Academy, TN / 2024Rankings StateRank: 61 / POS: 6
Monaco was 7-12 (.583) with the stick in Week 6. Had three RBI's and scored three runs for Brentwood Academy. Also picked up the win on the mound while collected 12 strikeouts. |

Bennett Gammon LHP / OF / Smith County, TN / 2025Rankings StateRank: 48 / POS: 2
Hit for a .600 avg (6-10) this past week for Smith County. Picked up a double, triple, home run and gathered up five RBI's. Scored seven total runs and swiped three bags. |

Kaden Powell OF / RHP / Smith County, TN / 2026Rankings StateRank: 6 / POS: 2
Was 7-12 at the plate, with a double, triple and two home runs. Also picked up nine RBI's on the week. |

Recorded two wins on the week for Greeneville. Logged nine innings of work on the mound, allowing four hits, no runs and picking up 14 strikeouts. |

Carson Quillen 3B / C / Greeneville , TN / 2025Rankings StateRank: 36 / POS: 3
Was another Greeneville arm that picked up two wins this week, in 10.1 innings of work, allowed just two hits, one run and grabbed 13 punch outs. Also at the plate, was 9-21 with three doubles, and nine RBI's. |

Shipley was solid for Greeneville in Week 6 as well on the mound, picking up two wins in eight innings. Allowed seven knocks while picking up 16 strikeouts. |

Maddox Bishop OF / 2B / Greeneville, TN / 2026Bishop was 13-23 at the plate, had a double and a stolen base on the week. |

Tyson McFall RHP / SS / Pigeon Forge, TN / 2023McFall tossed a six inning, complete game for Pigeon Forge. Allowed just three hits, one walk and recorded eight strikeouts. Improves to 5-0 on the season, 37.2 IP with a 1.86 ERA. Was 7-8 at the plate with two RBI's. |

Dean McCalla RHP / 3B / Houston , TN / 2023Rankings StateRank: 32 / POS: 9
Hit 4-11 this past week, had a pair of home runs and six RBI's. On the bump, tossed seven innings of one run ball and also punched out nine in Houston's win. |

Chance Point / Hampton, TN / 2024Point was 9-17 with two doubles a home run. Scored six runs, collected 10 RBI's, eight stolen bases and reached on a HBP. Hitting .525 on the season with a .663 OBP with 30 SB. |

J Foster / Gordonsville, TN / 2026Foster was 9-14 on the week (.643) with three doubles, a triple and two home runs. Had six total RBI's, scored eight runs, one stolen base and reached via a walk four times. Tossed 8.2 innings of work on the bump for Gordonsville. |
