TN Wednesday Report

On Wednesday, we traveled to the Memphis area for a couple games, beginning at Christian Brothers High School for the tilt between Marshall County from Kentucky and Brighton. After this game, we traveled to Briarcrest for their big matchup against Memphis University School. Briarcrest was previously written about here, while Memphis University School was previously written about here. Louisville commit continues to just hit when I see him, while showing off his all-around skillset. 6’0, prototypical catcher frame w/ lot of present strength, close to mature build. Offensively, hits w/ an open, slightly crouched stance w/ hand rhythm into stride to square and proper load. Generates premium bat speed through the zone w/ natural loft. Hits w/ balance. Projects to hit for average and power to all fields, present all fields power. Defensively, has a narrow stance at times, occasionally presents a quality low target for his pitchers. Soft hands w/ strong forearms, can stick the baseball, has a feel for pitch framing. As a thrower, shows above average arm strength w/ 1.97-2.00 pops between innings when he does not throw from his knees.
