Playing in the Louisville Slugger Select Classic in Lake Point, Georgia, Houston reeled off four consecutive victories to finish last week with a 4-0 record.

The Mustangs got their week started with a 6-3 win over Hardin Valley Academy, their only loss to date this spring, and followed that up with an 8-4 victory over Kennesaw Mountain (GA).

The week concluded with a pair of shutouts, a 19-0 thrashing of Pope John Paul II (FL) and a 6-0 win over University School of Jackson .

Houston is 6-2 on the season with their only losses coming to Cartersville (GA) and IMG Academies (FL). The Mustangs return to action on Thursday with a 7:00 PM game against Riverdale in the Riverdale Warriors Spring Classic Tournament.

For their outstanding efforts on the field, the Houston Mustangs have been selected as this week’s PBR Tennessee Team of the Week.
