Scouting Report

8/18/19
Thick-wristed offensive backstop with good showings at Top Prospect Games and Unsigned Senior Games. Very physical offensively w/ good pop and moves well for size.

7/07/19
A pretty physical kid that impressed at the event. Begins his stance even while squatted down into his hips. This allows him to use his legs and drive the ball more frequently. Showed some very quick hands that gave him the ability to be able to react to the inside pitch. Drove balls into the gaps during BP. 85 mph exit velo. Behind the plate, he was consistently 2.0-2.1 on pop times to 2nd base. Accurate throws. Interesting follow

6-foot-3, 210-pound Tall, thick wristed athlete was very impressive physically and moved very well for a big guy (6.81). Offensively, his setup is crouched w/ a wide balanced base and higher handset. Loads his weight by striding back towards the catcher then moves his center of mass away from his hands for timing. Bat entered the zone smoothly at launch and showed ability to drive the ball in multiple locations with his quick swing. Power is present, however could still be leaving some in the tank based on lack of positive move. Very projectable hitter at the next level. Defensively he receives the ball very well and is able to get under the ball with ease w/ solid pop time.
