Scouting Director Notes:
"The 5-foot-11, 165-pound outfield prospect burst onto the scene this summer at Unsigned Sr. Showcase in May and capped off the summer with another outstanding performance at the Southeast Unsigned Sr. Games.  Degges lit up the Blast Motion sensor showcasing premium bat speed (Max: 82.5 mph | AVG: 76-79 mph) to go with excellent rotational acceleration (Max: 27.3 G).  Combining these metrics with a high hard contact percentage, Degges profiles as a high-floor, potentially high ceiling athlete as he progresses levels.  Simple setup and fluid rhythm at the dish with healthy appetite for barrels (Max Exit Velo: 100.2 mph | AVG: 88.7 mph via Trackman).  Defensively, strong runner, logging a 6.96 laser timed 60, and can play all three outfield positions while providing some depth in the infield due to his athleticism.  Posted the top OF velo at both events (89 mph), so plenty of arm strength to go w/ accuracy."  - Colton Provey

OF/SS, (2021) Christian Academy of Knoxville, TN. 5-foot-11, 165-pound athletic frame. At the plate, Degges showed his power ability with an exit velocity of 93 mph. Begins in a tall stance with a smooth controlled load, then uses a long stride just before his swing. Bat speed is raw, uses flat swing plane and level finish. Found some barrels with tons of loud contact. Throwing from the outfield, he displayed power in his arm with throws up to 88 mph;had sure hands and athletic footwork. In the infield, had a live arm with throws that topped out at 85 mph; has consistent hands. Movements laterally were athletic. Used a loose arm action and a high ¾ slot.
