Tyler Warmath, C, Mount Juliet HS, 2015

At 6-foot-1, 150-pounds, Warmath possesses a  lanky frame that projects well with plenty of room to add additional strength.  He shows good athleticism behind the plate and runs well, especially for the catcher position, as he posted a 7.02-second 60-yard dash time at the PBR Tennessee East TN College Prospect Showcase in September.

At the plate, Warmath hits from a slightly open stance and loads back with a slight leg kick.  He shows the ability to use all fields.  He has the potential to develop some gap power as he continues to work on getting physically stronger.  Warmath showed some present bat speed with an 82 mph exit velocity off the tee.

Defensively, Warmath is an athletic guy behind the plate.  He shows a soft receiving hand with good lateral blocking ability.  His arm strength registered at 74 mph from the crouch with pop times that ranged consistently from 2.10-2.20.  While Warmath is a primary catcher, he also has played multiple positions, including third base and outfield, and could prove to be a player that can provide some versatility at the next level.
