Weekend Roundup: April 11 Games

Here is a look at some of the scores and highlights from the action around the state from the weekend.

Powell 11, Cumberland County 7
Riley Cooper and Noah Malicoat both went 2 for 3 to lead the Panther offense over the Jets. Multiple pitchers for the Panthers contributed in the win.

Sevier County 8, Blackman 4
Charlie Brown had a big day with a grand slam at the plate and picking up the win on the mound. John Millet went 2 for 4 with a triple and Nick Osborne added another home run for the Smoky Bears.

Montgomery Bell Academy 10, Dyer County 6
Derrick Tusie went 3 for 4 with a triple and TJ Jefferson went 2 for 4 with a double to lead the Big Red offense. Jack Anderson picked up the win on the mound.

Gibbs 7, West 5
Jake Hall had a big night for the Eagles going 3 for 3 with two doubles at the plate and picking up the win on the mound. Dylan Wyatt went 1 for 2 with a double at the plate.

Ardmore 12, Giles County 0
Hogan had a big day going 2 for 3 with a double at the plate and picking up the win over the Bobcats. Green went 3 for 4 with a triple at the plate.

St. George’s 5, Northpoint Christian 1
Stephen East went 2 for 2 at the plate with a triple to lead the St. George’s offense. Griffin Gilliam had 6 strikeouts on the mound and picked up the win.

Knoxville Christian 8, South Doyle 7
Logan Adams went 3 for 5 and Anthony Crowder went 2 for 3 in a big win for Knoxville Christian. Cole Knott picked up the win on the mound.

Daniel Boone 6, Seymour 5
Zac Peters went 2 for 4 with a double and Ryan Keever went 2 for 4 at the plate to lead Daniel Boone to the win. Dean Malenda picked up the win on the mound.

Walker Valley 4, Watertown 1
Clark and Haynie both went 1 for 3, including Clarks double. Buckner had a big night on the mound with 6 strikeouts and the win.

USJ 10, Ripley 3
Alec Hardin went 2 for 4 with a double and Jake Overton went 2 for 4 at the plate to lead USJ to a won over Ripley. Holland Hawks picked up the win on the mound.

HVA 6, TC Roberson (NC) 4
In a matchup with two of the better programs in Tennessee and North Carolina, the Hawks came away with the win. Logan and Green each went 1 for 3 at the plate, including Logan’s double. Turner picked up the win on the mound.

Sevier County 14, Bearden 3
Gossett had a huge day against the Bulldogs going 3 for 3 with two home runs. Silva went 2 for 2 with a triple in an impressive win for Sevier County.

Farragut 3, Hillgrove (GA) 1
Chase Fullington went 2 for 3 with a double and Carmelo Venero added another double at the plate. Jacob Parham picked up the win on the mound with 7 strikeouts.

McCallie 17, Brentwood Academy 10
Corbin Brooksbank put on a show going 4 for 4 with a home run and two triples at the plate. Quinn Smith went 3 for 3 with a double. Drew Vaughn picked up the win on the mound.

Campbell County 14, Jellico 6
Virgil White and Max Farris both went 2 for 4 with a double at the plate. Matt Ogden picked up the win for the Cougars.

Gatlinburg Pittman 9, Gordonsville 0
Zac Akey went 2 for 3 with a home run and Alex Leatherwood went 1 for 4 with a double at the plate. Noah Simms had 6 strikeouts and picked up the win for the Highlanders.

Germantown 13, Anderson County 3
Wilks went 2 for 2 and Stone went 1 for 3 to lead the Germantown offense against the Mavericks. Jones picked up the win on the mound.

Elizabethton 5, Chuckey Doak 4
Cameron Miller had a big game going 3 for 4 at the plate and picking up the win on the mound. Michael Robinson went 3 for 5 at the plate and Elijah Andrews had 6 strikeouts on the mound.

Collierville 5, Riverdale 4
Two very well-known programs in the state matched up for a big showdown. Adam Hall went 2 for 2 and CJ Fleming went 1 for 2 with a double to lead the Dragon offense. Parker Cathey picked up the win on the mound.

ECS 12, Bolton 2
Goodwin went 2 for 4 with two doubles and Momeans went 2 for 2 with a double to lead ECS in a big win. Faris picked up the win on the mound.

Marshall County 7, Warren County 6
Brooks Leftwich had an impressive night on the mound 7 strikeouts and the win. Dunn Crowder went 2 for 4 with a home run and Chandler Harmon went 1 for 3 with a double.

Cookeville 6, Oak Ridge 0
Jacob Edington and TJ Webb both had a hit to help contribute to the win over the Wildcats. Cade Smith had 7 strikeouts and picked up the win on the mound.

Wilson Central 7, Oakland 3
Phefferie had a big day going 5 for 5 with a triple at the plate and picking up the win on the mound. Hamilton went 4 for 5 at the plate against the Patriots.

Volunteer 10, Cherokee 3
Brad Halderman went 2 for 4 with a double and Andrew Smith added a double to lead Volunteer over Cherokee. Preston Gray picked up the win on the mound.

McNairy Central 9, Scotts Hill 5
Chase Smith had a big day at the plate going 2 for 2 with a double and a home run. Parker Childress went 2 for 3 at the plate and Briley Taylor picked up the win on the mound.

Shelbyville 10, White County 0
Trevor Sanders went 3 for 3 with a double and Colt Williams went 3 for 4 at the plate to lead the Shelbyville offense. Wesley Griggs picked up the win on the mound with 5 strikeouts.

Jackson (MO) 5, Dyersburg 4
Steven Armstrong went 1 for 3 with a double and Cade Coffman went 2 for 3 at the plate. Dyersburg got beat in a close one against Jackson (MO).

West Greene 6, Cumberland Gap 2

Braxton Potter had 9 strikeouts and picked up the win on the mound. Austin Greenlee went 2 for 4 with a home run and Joseph Jones went 2 for 4 with a double.

Loudon 8, Harriman 3
Austin Cullen had a big day going 3 for 4 with a double and a home run for the Redskins. Dylan Russell went 2 for 4 at the plate and picked up the win on the mound with 9 strikeouts.
