2025 OUTLOOK
+ The Christian Brothers baseball program went 23-11 in 2024 and finished as the runner-up in the state championship game in a thrilling extra innings game with Briarcrest. Christian Brothers returns 5 starters and 3 pitchers from last spring.
The senior class returns four impact players. 2025 Mississippi State commit INF Gabe Boyd returns as one of the best players in the state. Boyd is a tooled up shortstop with a 100 mph exit velocity and a 6.7 60 time. Boyd will return as the two hole for a potent lineup. 2025 OF Halton Donnelly will bring back his big power to the middle of the lineup. Donnelly shows rare skills as a big guy with a 7.04 60 time. 2025 OF Carson Finch is the center fielder for Christian Brothers and will be relied upon to be a bigger force in the lineup.
In the junior class returns an important two player in Scotty Stafford. 2026 LHP/OF Scotty Stafford will be one of the top of the rotation arms. Stafford has big time pitchability working in the low-80s. Stafford will also return as the starting right fielder.
In the sophomore class, three impact players return for Christian Brothers. 2027 C Will Brick is one of the top players in the class. Brick will be the leadoff hitter and tone setter for a potent lineup. Brick put on a show at the Preseason All-State where he posted a ridiculous 102.5 mph exit velocity. Brick also is an off the charts defender from behind the plate. He has shown a 1.79 pop time and 82 mph from the catcher position. 2027 RHP Ty Holman returns as one of the big arms for Christian Brothers. Holman pitched some big games for his team in their run to the state championship game. Holman already has a fastball that gets up to 86 mph. 2027 C/INF/RHP Will Britt is an unknown for Christian Brothers as he has dealt with injuries in the last year. When healthy, Britt can be an impact arm and bat for an already loaded team.
Christian Brothers fell short of their goal in 2024 losing in heartbreaking fashion. This spring, there should be no lack of motivation for them to avenge their loss and get back to Murfreesboro to finish the job. They will face a loaded private school division that should be fun to watch play out.
