2025 OUTLOOK
+ The Clarksville High baseball program finished 2024 going 39-10 and was eliminated by Beech in the state tournament. Clarksville comes into the spring returning 5 starters and 6 pitchers from the 2024 state tournament team.
Clarksville senior class returns 5 impact players. 2025 Vanderbilt commit C Korbin Reynolds is regarded as the best catcher in the state. Reynolds has shown as low as a 1.81 pop time and 81 mph from behind the plate. He also brings big pop to all fields with a 95 mph exit velocity and speed for a big guy with a 6.88 60 time.. 2025 University of Evansville commit OF/INF/RHP Kirk Weatherford is a former Future Games participant and is a 4 year starter for Clarksville. Weatherford is a tremendous athlete which allows him to play multiple positions and hit in the leadoff position. At the Future Games, Weatherford posted a 99 mph exit velocity and a 6.83 pop time. Weatherford will also be relied upon to be an important arm in his senior season. 2025 Carson Newman commit OF/RHP Jack Wyatt comes off a season where he led the team in home runs and stolen bases. Wyatt is one of the most underrated hitters in the state and always puts on a show at the plate every time we see him, 2025 INF Cade Abernathy was a key contributor in the state tournament run last season. Abernathy also played great defensively after moving to third base. 2025 OF/DH Ben Moore had an up and down season in 2024 but finished the season hitting over .300. Moore will look to lock down the right field position this spring.
The junior class has 3 key contributors retuning. 2026 LHP Porter Murff is poised to take a big jump and be top arm for Clarksville this season. Murff is a big left-handed pitcher that sits in the upper 80s. He also shows a mid-70s breaking ball with late break. 2026 RHP/C Dawson Smith will provide important innings on the mound with the ability to throw strikes. Smith will also see innings behind the plate to give Reynolds a breather. 2026 LHP Braden Taylor was a surprise in 2024 where he provided important innings in relief down the stretch. Taylor will look to push for a starting role this spring.
Clarksville has one of the strongest returning squads in the state. They are one of the biggest contenders to not only make it to the state tournament but also to win it.
