2025 OUTLOOK

+ The Farragut High School baseball program undoubtedly sets the standard in the state of Tennessee. The Admirals accomplished the impossible in 2024 by winning the state championship for the 3rd year in a row and going 40-5. The 2024 senior class for Farragut had an unbelievable amount of talent with double digit division 1 baseball players. In 2025, the Admirals must replace all this talent and return only 2 position players and 4 pitchers. The senior class returns three impact players in Cole Draper, Connell Driver, and Owen Stelzer. 2025 Wofford commit RHP Cole Draper is by far the biggest returner for the Admirals. Draper pitched a complete game in the state championship game against Nolensville. He is also a former Future games participant. Draper sits in the upper 80s with a low three quarters arm slot which creates a lot of deception. 2025 Walters State commit RHP Connell Driver will have a much bigger role this spring and has the tools to do so as he was up to 90 mph this past summer. 2025 Holy Cross commit INF/RHP Owen Stelzer comes in as a transfer from California. He will have a chance to compete for a spot in the infield and on the mound as he sits in the mid-80s.

The junior class showcases two impact players in Lipscomb commit OF/RHP Aidan Flagg and C/1B Jake Harris. Flagg was a mainstay in the lineup for the 2024 team. He will have to be the anchor of the lineup this spring. Flagg has a strong frame that also features athleticism as he has been clocked as a 7.1 runner. He will also be expected to give important innings on the mound with a fastball that sits in the mid-80s. Harris is a power left handed bat that will be thrust into the middle of the lineup and should take on the starting catcher role. OF Zain Kureshi-Smith was a guy that mostly came in as a pitch runner, but will have more opportunities this spring to earn additional playing time.

The sophomore class for Farragut comes in as the deepest with four guys that could make an immediate impact. 2027 INF Braxton Tye is a talented middle infielder that has good size and has been up to a 90 mph exit velocity. 2027 LHP Braiden Merideth comes in with a big arm for a sophomore and features a fastball that sits in the upper 80s. He has a chance to see significant innings early on. 2027 RHP Corey Cole is another arm that has reached the upper 80s and will be another eager player that looks to make their mark in a storied program. 2027 INF/RHP Cole Creasman is a big infielder that stands at 6’2. Creasman has some two way potential.

For the first time in over a decade, Farragut comes in as an underdog to make it back to Murfreesboro which has seemed like an inevitability in recent years. Farragut will need a lot of young talent to take on big roles to have a chance in what looks like a loaded East Tennessee region. There is no doubt that this experienced coaching staff will have these boys in position to make some noise when all is said and done.
