Tennessee HS Team Preview: Green Hill Hawks

The 2025 Tennessee high school baseball season is quickly approaching and, as usual, excitement is abound throughout the state. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across Tennessee.
Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons in Murfreesboro at the state tournament championships – but there is plenty of work to be done before that becomes reality. We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams across the state as we preview individual teams across Tennessee. We will take you right up to first pitch this season with these team previews, eventually releasing our Preseason Power 25 rankings that’ll carry us into the opening week of action.

2025 OUTLOOK
+ The Green Hill High School baseball program finished the 2024 season going 27-11 and was eliminated by Nolensville in the sectional round. Green Hill returns 6 starters and 8 pitchers from last spring.
In the senior class, Green Hill has 6 impact players returning. 2025 Walters State commit LHP Corbin Craver returns as the ace of the staff for Green Hill. Craver won the first game against Nolensville in the sectional round. 2025 RHP/UTL Trevecca University commit Joey Greenstreet will be the #2 starter for Green Hill. Greenstreet started the deciding game for Green Hill and matched Trevecca commit Dawson Sweeney for 7 innings. 2025 Lincoln Memorial University commit MIF Gabe Gray will be the tone setter as the leadoff hitter and will man the shortstop position. 2025 MIF Grayson Beasely was instrumental in the run for Nolensville. Beasely batted in the 2 hole and played a strong second base all year. 2025 OF Nick Owens is the cleanup hitter for Green Hill and will provide pop for what should be a much improved lineup. 2025 RHP Liam Hendrix is another arm that will provide depth for what should be a strong pitching staff.
In the junior class, Green Hill picked up a big transfer from Centennial High School in RHP Braden Serbin. Serbin showed out at the Preseason All-State with a fastball up to 87 mph and a nasty slider at 2481 spin rate. He should be in the mix as a starter for Green Hill.
Green Hill comes into the spring with a veteran team that was one game away from the state tournament a year ago. They have tremendous pitching depth that carried them at times in 2024. The offense should be improved, returning two thirds of the lineup. Green Hill is a team to watch as they should be a lock to return to the sectional round.
