The 2025 Tennessee high school baseball season is quickly approaching and, as usual, excitement is abound throughout the state. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across Tennessee.

Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons in Murfreesboro at the state tournament championships – but there is plenty of work to be done before that becomes reality. We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams across the state as we preview individual teams across Tennessee. We will take you right up to first pitch this season with these team previews, eventually releasing our Preseason Power 25 rankings that’ll carry us into the opening week of action.

2025 OUTLOOK

+ The Jackson Christian School baseball program finished the 2024 season going 18-11-1. They will return 7 starters and 7 pitchers from last year. This will be a veteran team that has a chance to compete in a tough west Tennessee district that includes USJ and Tipton Rosemark. 

The senior class returns four impact players that will look to lead Jackson Christian. 2025 Harding University commit OF Easton Jones was a TBCA All-State player who hit .424 and had 17 extra base hits along with 16 stolen bases. Jones will be counted on to hit in the middle of the lineup. 2025 Harding University commit RHP/MIF Austin Kelley will be one of the top of the rotation arms with a mid to upper 80s fastball. And Kelley used his stuff to get to an impressive 5-3 record with a 2.70 ERA and 55 K’s. 2025 Harding University commit INF/RHP Zach Creasy is a 4-year starter who hit .366 with 11 extra base hits and led the team with 28 RBI’s. Creasy is also in the mix to be the Tuesday night district starter. 2025 UTL/LHP JT Mullins is the leadoff hitter for Jackson Christian and hit .316. Coach McLean describes Mullins as a grinder that finds a way to get on base. Mullins will also be a big left-handed arm out of the pen. 

The junior class returns 2026 catcher Eli Smith. He has a great frame for the catcher position and is a strong defender that brings a hard nosed mentality to the team. Smith really shined in the tournament, throwing out 5 of 8 base runners. 

Jackson Christian is in a tough district but with a veteran group, they will have the opportunity to improve on their winning record and take the next step. USJ won the district last year and returns most of their roster. Should be a district to watch as the winner will have a chance to make a run in May.
