We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams across the state as we preview individual teams across Tennessee. We will take you right up to first pitch this season with these team previews, eventually releasing our Preseason Power 25 rankings that’ll carry us into the opening week of action.

Please keep checking back throughout the season as we will be your one-stop shop for everything related to high school baseball across the state. Each week we will be releasing our Players of the Week and updating the Power 25 rankings.

2025 OUTLOOK

+ The Middle Tennessee Christian School baseball program finished the 2024 season with an 18-13 record, while being eliminated by Franklin Road Academy in district play. MTCS comes into the spring returning 5 starters and 6 pitchers.

In the senior class, 3 impact players return. 2025 Samford commit OF/RHP Cason Hill is a former Future Games participant, but missed last season recovering from an ACL injury. Hill is off the charts metrically with a 98 mph exit velocity, 6.79 60 time, and 97 mph from across the infield. He will return to set the tone at the top of the lineup. 2025 INF/RHP Owen White had a big 2024, hitting .358 with 6 HRs. White will return to anchor the middle of the order. He will also be relied upon to be an important arm on the mound as he logged 26.2 innings last year. 2025 UTL/RHP Drew Massengale, who is committed to Freed Hardeman to play golf, had a productive season hitting .333 and an impressive .449 OBP.

The junior class returns 2 impact players. 2026 Texas A&M commit RHP/INF Cayden King is a former Future Games participant and showed out with a fastball up to 88 mph and wipeout slider that pairs well with his deceptive low three-quarters arm slot. King finished 2024 going 6-1 with a 1.46 ERA and 69 K’s. He will also be counted on to be a big bat in the lineup. 2026 C T.J Finley returns as the starting catcher for MTCS. Finley has shown an impressive pop time between 1.9-1.95 while also having good pop at the plate with a 92 mph exit velocity.

MTCS comes into the spring with an older team and has a chance to compete in the private school division. They can make a run if they can get more production out of a couple of guys in the lineup.
