2025 OUTLOOK

+ The Nolensville High baseball program finished the 2024 season 34-10 and lost to Farragut 3-1 in the state championship game. Nolensville had an outstanding year headlined by arguably the best pitching rotation in the state. While Nolensville lost some key contributors, they should once again have a plethora of arms that will rival any staff in the state.

The senior class brings back one key contributor in 2025 Trevecca University RHP Ashton Blesie. Blesie is a big right-handed arm that came up big down the stretch for Nolensville pitching the semifinals game against Arlington that got them to the championship game. Blesie showcases a fastball up to 90 mph and mid-70s breaking ball.

The junior class for Nolensville is loaded. The class is headlined by two big arms in Bo Holloway and Wyatt Clatur. 2026 LHP Bo Holloway is former Future Games participant where he shined with a fastball up 93 mph along with upper 70s breaking ball with a spin rate up to 2400 and changeup in the mid-80s. Holloway is one of the best arms in the country and is the #1 player in the state of Tennessee. 2026 Duke commit RHP Wyatt Clatur has skyrocketed in the last year with a fastball that has been up to 94 mph and a wipeout slider in the low-80s. Clatur is poised to make a big jump for Nolensville and take that second slot in the rotation behind Holloway. Two other arms in the class has a chance to be key contributors in Aiden Oppenheimer and Hayden Hupka. 2026 RHP Aiden Oppenheimer is a transfer from California. Oppenheimer showed well at the Preseason All-State with a fastball up to 90 mph and upper 70s breaking ball. 2026 RHP Hayden Hupka also showed well at the Preseason All-State. Hupka showed off a fastball up to 87 mph and the ability to throw four pitches for a strike.

The junior class also has a group of talented hitters that will need to carry the lineup. 2026 Oregon State University commit 1B Kael Barney was a key member of the 2024 team with big hits along the way including a big home run early in the state tournament. Barney has a big 6 '4 frame and showed very well at the Preseason All-State with a 97 mph exit velocity and an impressive 7.1 60 time. Barney also showcased his ability to play the outfield with an arm up to 86 mph. 2026 C Evan McElvain returns as the starting catcher which he has done since his freshman year. McElvain was instrumental last year in handling the big arms on the staff and has shown to be one of the best catchers in the state with a pop time at 1.85. He also has big pop which has shown with 96 mph exit velocity. 2026 INF Kyson Barney comes in as the starting shortstop for Nolensville. Barney has a big 6 '4 frame for his position but moves well which he showed at the Preseason All-State with a 7.09 60 time. Barney also has power to all fields with an exit velocity at 95 mph and a strong arm up to 90 mph. 2026 INF Griffin Hendrickson is a player that should step right into a starting role for Nolensville in 2024 and should be a key bat in the middle of the lineup. Hendrickson showed big pop at the Preseason All-State with an exit velocity up to 100.7 mph.

The sophomore class has 3 impact players that will have a chance to contribute in 2024. 2027 OF Ryan Newell started every game down the stretch for Nolensville. Newell showed well at the Preseason All-State with an exit velocity up to 100 mph and threw 86 mph from the outfield. He will be a big bat for Nolensville at the top of the lineup and should lock down the center field position. 2027 RHP Parker Vandercook is a guy that could see some innings this spring. Vandercook is a young sophomore that has a fastball that has already been up to 87 mph. 2027 IF/OF Tristan Lithmexay is another Preseason All-State standout that had an exit velocity up to 98 mph and a 7.05 60 time. Lithmexay has a chance to jump into a starting role somewhere on the field for Nolensville.

Nolensville comes into the spring as one of the most talented teams in the state with a pitching staff that will overpower high school lineups. They also bring back some key contributors to the lineup along with some promising young hitters. Nolensville should be a favorite to win the biggest classification in the state.
