ROSTER PREVIEW

+ Key Returners:

2025 OUTLOOK

+ Science Hill High School finished the 2024 season 32-13. The Hilltoppers were put out in the sectional series by eventual state champion Farragut Admirals. They come into 2025 returning 5 starters and 2 of their starting pitchers on the mound. Two impact seniors return in 2025’s 3B Lucas Dye and OF Samuel Lane. Dye will once again be the starting 3rd baseman while Lane returns to the outfield. Both players should bring strong leadership to a veteran team.

The strongest class in the program should come from the juniors. MIF/RHP Caden Wells should be one of the better players in East Tennessee. Wells will play either shortstop or second base and will also be one of the main arms in the rotation. Other juniors that will be heavy contributors are 2026’s C Aiden Vermillion, 1B Nathan Stoots, and INF/RHP Cole ReSue. Vermillion will return as the starting catcher where he thrives as a strong defensive catcher where his pop time sits between 2.00 and 2.05 and up to 79 mph behind the plate. Stoots is a first baseman that has a strong frame and should hit in the middle of the order for the Hilltoppers . One of the biggest pieces for the 2025 team could be Cole ReSue. ReSue has dealt with injuries the last couple of seasons. He has big time talent as he is in the low 90’s on the mound and should also return as a factor in the infield. He should be a headliner for a strong rotation.

Science Hill comes in as a veteran group that has a pedigree of winning baseball games. They should be a favorite to make it to Murfreesboro out of East Tennessee.
