JACKSON, TN - The Prep Baseball West Tennessee Fall ID was held on Sunday, November 10th at Union University in Jackson, TN. Players went through an extended pro-style workout that included batting practice using Trackman, ran the 60-yard dash using Swift Performance, and much more. Pitchers were able to get numbers and metrics on TrackMan during simulated innings. There were some players who showed up and continued to build off of prior performances, but there were also some new names who jumped onto our radar with a strong showing at the event.

Concluding our post-event coverage for the event, we take a look the scouting reports on all pitchers who attended the West Tennessee Fall ID.

PITCHER REPORTS

Benjamin Capel, Palmetto (FL), 2025
Positional Profile: RHP/OF
Body: 6-2, 170-pounds. High waisted with a leaner look to him at present, will hold weight and size well.
Delivery: Works out of the stretch with his front foot beginning slightly in front of his rear. His hands go up with his leg lift prior to hand break at the top, gets a good drive from his backside down the mound.
Arm Action: RH. Arm works well behind him with minimal unnecessary swing behind him.
FB: T78, 78-78 mph. Great feel for command of his FB shows some ASR. T2186, 2095 average rpm.
SL: 64-69 mph. True SL spin from his BB that will get better as his arm speeds up. T2073, 1746 average rpm.
CH: 68-69 mph. Great feel for his CH with solid depth to it. T, average rpm.

Alex Page II, Dyersburg (TN), 2026
Positional Profile: C/3B
Body: 5-11, 185-pounds. Compact but athletic frame, strength is shown now but has room for more to be added
Delivery: Simple stretch action with a controlled leg lift and go, gets good rear leg drive down the mound.
Arm Action: RH. Compact arm action which works very smooth through his motion.
FB: T82, 81-82 mph. Spotty command at times with his FB, with some jump out of the hand. T2054, 2028 average rpm.
CB: 71-72 mph. CB shows great movement to it, with prototypical CB movement and great command of it . T2167, 2155 average rpm.
SL: 72-72 mph. Good differential of shape from his CB, with good spin and command of it. T2059, 2059 average rpm.
CH: 75-76 mph. Throws his CH with intent with solid movement especially down in the zone. T1560, 1505 average rpm.

Josiah Allen, Providence Christian Academy (TN), 2026
Positional Profile: RHP/1B
Body: 6-4, 186-pounds. Extremely long and lean, a frame to dream about as he develops more size.
Delivery: Straightforward windup with little waisted movement, carries pace well through his motion. High leg kick is controlled well, loses his back hip towards the top.
Arm Action: RH. Smooth actions as his arm going through his pitching motion, beginnings of whip from a high 3/4 slot.
FB: T84, 78-83 mph. FB bores into the zone w/ very good IVB. Plays harder than it is, with more to come soon. T2144, 1919 average rpm.
CB: 66-68 mph. CB has swing and miss potential, especially down in the zone. Spin will come as he continues to develop. T1735, 1709 average rpm.
CH: 77-78 mph. Straight change at present, should look to add more depth armside. T1631,1601 average rpm.

Braydin Jones, University School of Jackson (TN), 2027
Positional Profile: SS/RHP
Body: 6-2, 190-pounds. Looks the part on the diamond, sky is the limit with his frame going forward.
Delivery: Narrow with his feet as he gets into a side step to clear his hips, a tall but controlled leg kick allows him to get great back hip drive down the mound.
Arm Action: RH. Great arm speed as he works from a high 3/4 slot, smooth actions behind the body as he gets into his pitching motion.
FB: T89, 88-89 mph. FB is heavy with good feel for it in the zone. True backspin w/ more to come in the future. T2131, 2084 average rpm.
SL: 75-77 mph. SL is thrown with conviction that will miss bats. Present feel within the zone. T2135, 2095 average rpm.
CH: 77-79 mph. CH is a plus offering presently with excellent depth. Will cause both sides of the plate fits. T1546, 1528 average rpm.

Hunter Harkness, Tipton-Rosemark Academy (TN), 2025
Positional Profile: RHP/SS
Body: 6-3, 180-pounds. XL frame with long limbs, very projectable frame as he develops.
Delivery: His body works well through his windup which shows a small side stride and go. A subtle hand pump for timing before a controlled leg kick, which he gets great leg drive out of.
Arm Action: RH. His arm makes a great spiral behind him through the throwing motion, into a compact 3/4 slot.
FB: T82, 81-82 mph. Feel for his FB in the zone, that will occasionally take off arm side with heavy sink. T2464, 2431 average rpm.
SL: 72-75 mph. Spins his SL well with true slider movement, a great complement to his FB. T2592, 2519 average rpm.
CH: 72-76 mph. CH plays very well with the rest of his pitches, with fade arm side. T2449, 1694 average rpm.

Mason Woods, Marshall Academy (TN), 2027
Positional Profile: LHP/OF
Body: 6-4, 180-pounds. Prototypical long and lanky frame, uber projectable and raw athletically.
Delivery: He stays narrow with his feet as he turns into his leg lift, gets great back hip and leg drive with stretch through his core as he goes down the mound.
Arm Action: LH. Arm works very well with a longer arc behind him, and is quick over the top into a 3/4 slot.
FB: T85, 85-85 mph. Good feel for spin w/ some umph and run to it, very exciting to see as he continues his development. T2253, 2174 average rpm.
CB: 72-72 mph. CB features 12/6 break that very effectively works with the rest of his arsenal. T2372, 2345 average rpm.
SL: 73-73 mph. Great feel for his SL which takes a right turn late, with CB will give hitters fits. T2357, 2357 average rpm.
CH: 80-81 mph. Does a good job killing spin, with depth armside. T1636, 1517 average rpm.

James Carter, Milan (TN), 2026
Positional Profile: RHP/1B
Body: 6-2, 185-pounds. Tall and long frame with current broadness in his shoulders, points to holding added size and strength well.
Delivery: Simple and controlled windup with little movement of the hands as he gets to his leglift. Waist high at its height with some sinking into his back leg as he gets down the mound.
Arm Action: RH. Arm is smooth as he gets through his pitching motion into a high 3/4 slot.
FB: T80, 79-80 mph. Good feel for spin with his FB with some hop to it. T2415, 2328 average rpm.
CB: 68-68 mph. T2354, 2354 average rpm.
SL: 68-71 mph. BB has some shape to it, showed a tendency to release it early. Can be an effective pitch when located. T2540, 2340 average rpm.
CH: 72-73 mph. Good feel for CH in the zone w/ speed differential. Some fade armside. T1790, 1745 average rpm.

Brady Crenshaw, Briarcrest Christian (TN), 2027
Positional Profile: 1B/LHP
Body: 5-11, 170-pounds. Shows solid size and athleticism, room to grow size and strength,
Delivery: Works primarily out of the stretch, turns into his backside during leglift with good use of back hip.
Arm Action: LH. His arm action is smooth with some arm speed left to be desired presently, will come as he develops.
FB: T79, 75-79 mph. FB plays true to speed with ASR at present, switching to a 2 seam grip may prove benefactory. T1740, 1700 average rpm.
CB: 72-76 mph. CB has potential to be a swing and miss pitch with added spin, with present command in the zone. T1768, 1569 average rpm.
SL: 70-70 mph. T1756, 1756 average rpm.

Grey Buchanan, Peabody (TN), 2027
Positional Profile: OF/LHP
Body: 5-8, 135-pounds. Compact and very lean look at present, needs further physical development.
Delivery: A modified stretch windup with a tiny step sideways prior to his leg lift. A controlled leg lift into a "drop and go" leg drive.
Arm Action: LH. Arm shoots down at hand break and works well into a lower 3/4 slot.
FB: T74, 73-74 mph. Shows solid control for his FB that can appear heavy at times. T2042, 1995 average rpm.
SL: 63-67 mph. Shows good feel for the SL with good movement. Can add spin, but will come with physical development and more armspeed. T1703, 1663 average rpm.
CH: 63-64 mph. Early feel for his CH that he showed the ability to locate in the zone. T1539, 1493 average rpm.

Lanston Kent, Saltillo (MS), 2028
Positional Profile: SS/RHP
Body: 5-10, 150-pounds. Natural athlete with quick twitch actions, present muscle and strength w/ room to grow.
Delivery: Features a modified stretch, with a short step prior to his leglift going. Turns inward at the top of his leglift which allows his back hip to get fully engaged, also hiding his arm until late in his motion.
Arm Action: RH. Arm is whippy from a 3/4 slot, plenty of armspeed will be fun to see when his strength increases.
FB: T83, 83-83 mph. FB has great bore to it presently, playing much harder than it reads. T2273, 2103 average rpm.
SL: 67-69 mph. SL is spun well with solid shape presently,and can do a better job getting it in the zone,. T2196, 2152 average rpm.
CH: 76-77 mph. developing feel for his CH which is a pure change of pace at present. T1966, 1915 average rpm.

Boston Harborth, Hume - Fogg (TN), 2025
Positional Profile: RHP/OF
Body: 6-2, 200-pounds. Thicker build with present size in the lower half.
Delivery: He works out of the stretch with a simple leg lift and go, hands stay quiet at the waist prior to handbreak.
Arm Action: RH. Long swing behind the body to a 3/4 release. Can look to add arm strength/speed.
FB: T75, 74-75 mph. Showed feel for his FB in the zone, backspun well has some jump to it. T1547, 1443 average rpm.
SL: 65-66 mph. Developing feel for his SL, that has decent movement at present. Will come out of the hand better w/ added strength,. T1538, 1484 average rpm.
