Team Summary

Coach Ross Taylor and his Cleburne Yellowjackets come into 2021 looking to make another run in the payoffs after exiting in the Regional Quarterfinals in 2019. Coach Ross has confidence in his pitching staff but will need some members of the lineup to emerge as power bats this season. Returning on the mound for the Yellowjackets is 2021 RHP/3B Brady Douthitt, 2021 RHP Preston Griffith, and 2021 LHP/OF Mason Kile. Also on the mound this year, transferring in from N. Crowley is 2021 RHP/OF Kam Walton (New Mexico Commit). In the lineup, Coach Ross returns 2021 OF Ethan Flores, 2021 SS Kevin Duran, 2022 RHP/IF Cooper Schneider who all got off to a hot start in 2020 before the season was cut short. The Yellowjackets will lean on their pitching staff in '21 which gets a boost by adding a solid transfer and will hope the bats pick up where they left off after the 2020 season. District 14-5A will be competitive but the Yellowjackets are in a position to make the playoffs and make a run.
