Coach Tom McPherson and his Katy Tigers come into the 2021 season looking to make a run in the playoffs after exiting in the second round in 2019. The Tigers will lean on their deep pitching staff to carry them while their offense is unproven. Leading the way on the mound for the Tigers is 2021 RHP/SS Caleb Matthews (Rice Commit), 2021 RHP/C Jack Johnson (Youngstown State Signee), 2021 LHP Kaden Godfroy, and 2022 LHP Brayden Powers. Coach McPherson also hopes to return another quality arm in 2021 RHP Fernando Garza (Texas A&M Commit) who is recovering from an injury sustained during football season.
