Team Summary

Coach Jordan Byrd and his Plano East Panthers have a positive outlook on the 2021 season after their hot start in 2020 was cut short. Coach Byrd returns eight starters, with six of the eight being pitchers. Byrd has confidence in the team's pitching depth, as well as overall team speed and ability to defend. The speed and experience in the lineup is solid but Coach Byrd will look for some power bats to emerge. Returning on the mound is 2021 RHP/OF Ben Baker-Livingston (New Mexico Signee) who had 2 CGs and 19 Ks in 16 IP in 2020, as well as 2021 RHP/SS Colton Shaw (Yale Signee) who recorded 20 Ks in 17 IP in 2020. Returning in the lineup for the Panthers is 2021 RHP/3B Austin Stanton, 2021 RHP/IF Jake Jennings, 2022 C Kyler Kang, 2022 RHP/OF Caleb Bergman who look to pick up where they left off in 2020. The Panthers are an experienced team with a deep pitching staff, they look to make some noise in the competitive District 6-6A.
