Team Summary

Coach Eddie Cornblum and his Midway Panthers come into 2021 with hopes of returning to the playoffs after losing in the second round in 2019. Coach Cornblum has confidence in the Panther's ability to defend and win in the run game. The Panthers will rely on young pitchers to step up in 2021. Returning on the mound for the Panthers is 2022 RHP Hayden Stapleton, and 2021 LHP Reid Cromie. Coach Cornblum will also feature 2023 RHP Jayden Honey, and 2023 RHP Jeremiah Arnett on the mound this season with high hopes for their future. Returning in the lineup is 2021 1B/RHP Ryan Davis (Paris JC Signee), 2021 C/OF Logan Mercer (McMurray Commit) and Futures Games Alum 2021 C Cort Castle (Baylor Signee). The Panthers are looking to make some noise in district 11-6A after a realignment. They will rely on their speed and run game to produce runs and their defense to keep runs off the board. The Returning starting pitchers are solid and Coach Cornblum is banking on the young arms to contribute as well.
