TEAM OUTLOOK
Under Head Coach Andrew Walker, the Huffman-Hargrave Falcons enter the 2025 season looking to repeat as District Champions. The Falcons, fresh off a 2024 campaign that saw them finish with a 21-10 record before falling in the bi-district round of the playoffs, boast an experienced and well-rounded roster. Anchored by outstanding pitching depth, athleticism, and a reliable defense, this team is poised to contend for a potential deep playoff run.
The Falcons' strength lies in their pitching staff, highlighted by top returning arms such as Braydon Wisener, the 2024 District Pitcher of the Year, who delivered an impressive 0.67 ERA over six wins last season, and John Dolan, the District Co-MVP, who paired a 0.78 ERA on the mound with solid production at the plate. Joining them are key contributors Ryder Miller, who earned District Newcomer of the Year honors, and Logan Gruber, providing a wealth of options for Coach Walker to navigate a competitive district slate. The returning core of position players, led by dynamic shortstop Bryce Nixon and versatile infielder Chance Fields, will drive the offense with a blend of speed and situational hitting, while a host of rising sophomores and juniors provide depth and athleticism throughout the lineup.
With an infusion of promising talent from top newcomers like UTL Zane Bailey, OF/RHP Hunter Miller, and LHP Jesse Reyes, the Falcons are well-equipped to sustain success. This mix of seasoned veterans and young newcomers should allow Huffman-Hargrave to be competitive this season and in future years. If the team can maintain its defensive consistency and continue to get timely contributions at the plate, the Falcons could be primed for a deeper playoff run in 2025.
