TEAM OUTLOOK

The La Porte Bulldogs, under Head Coach Ricky Torres, enter the 2025 season aiming to build off a strong 2024 campaign that saw them finish with a 20-11-1 record and a Bi-District round appearance. The Bulldogs will lean on their pitching in 2025 that will be anchored by several standout returners. Leading the charge on the mound is Kylin Manning, an uncommitted senior and 2024 First Team All-District honoree, whose steadiness will be pivotal to La Porte's success. He is joined by the versatile Caleb Hill, a San Jacinto commit who excels both as an infielder and on the mound, and Julian Jaramillo, another multi-position threat. Complementing the veteran core are younger talents like C Caleb Hanks and two-way standout Adrian Delgadillo, both of whom have shown flashes and earned all-district recognition in 2024.

The Bulldogs’ roster is bolstered by an infusion of promising talent, including top newcomer Ryder Shapiro, a versatile right-handed pitcher and utility player from the Class of 2027, who is poised to make an immediate impact. Freshman Hovan Colunga also adds intrigue as a two-way prospect with pitching potential, representing the next wave of La Porte talent. With pitching as the team's hallmark and a blend of experienced leaders and emerging players, Coach Torres’s squad is primed to build on last year's playoff run and contend for a deeper postseason journey in 2025.
