TEAM OUTLOOK
The Sinton Pirates, led by Head Coach Adrian Alaniz, are primed for another strong season in 2025. Building on a successful 2024 campaign that saw the team finish 25-10 and advance to the Area round of the playoffs, the Pirates are set to benefit from a seasoned core of returning players and a deep, talented pitching staff. With a senior-heavy roster providing leadership and a pipeline of promising young talent, the Pirates are positioned to make a deeper playoff run this year.
Anchoring the team are key returners like Kash Wood (Abilene Christian University commit), a standout 1B/OF who earned First Team All-State honors and was named the 2024 District MVP. Pitchers Adrian DeAses (TAMUK commit) and Derek Garcia, both First Team All-District selections, will lead a formidable rotation alongside Triston Handson and versatile INF/RHP Nate Mutchler, both Second Team All-District honorees. Emerging players like Clay Mitchell and Julian Suarez, the 2024 District Freshman of the Year, add depth and versatility to a lineup rich in talent.
Adding to the excitement is a wave of underclassmen ready to make their mark. Newcomers like Keldon Kemp and Dylan Arriaga, as well as freshmen like Karsen McCoy and Austin Mutchler, provide a glimpse into Sinton's bright future. With additional contributions expected from key role players such as CD Ellis, Rhyzaya Rodriguez, and David Reyes, the Pirates boast a balanced roster capable of competing at a high level. Combining senior experience with youthful energy, Sinton aims to contend for a district title and potentially more in 2025.
