It's been a long, action-packed fall season throughout Texas. Much has happened over the course of the two-plus months since the launch of PBR Texas, all of which is reflected in our comprehensive 2018 Texas Top 100.

The talent level in this state is second-to-none, always known for producing power arms. The 2018 class is no different with 8 of the top 10 players being pitchers with high-end stuff.

This is the first PBR Texas rankings with updates to come in the early spring, after our three winter events and before the high school season kicks off. To see our complete list of events click here.

Since its inception in 2005, the Prep Baseball Report has evolved into one of the country's biggest and most respected independent scouting services, with a singular focus of providing comprehensive coverage in every state we are in. The mission of the Prep Baseball Report is to promote high school baseball and, ultimately, help prep athletes achieve their dreams of playing baseball at the next level.

The Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work in tandem, ultimately creating the most powerful source of high school baseball promotion in each state. While other organizations take a national approach, our goal is to become the authoritative voice on the ground level of each state.

RHP/1B Grayson Rodriguez (Nacogdoches Central HS) takes the #1 spot in our ranking. The 6-foot-5, 210-pound Texas A&M recruit is a powerful young player. The right-hander showcases a fastball topping out at 94 mph with a slider that has good depth at 78-79 mph. The left-handed hitter also possesses light-tower power at the plate with an advanced feel for hitting.

RHP Mason Englert (Forney HS), the 6-foot-3, 200-pound Texas A&M recruit possesses that rare blend of high-ceiling upside with present electric stuff and pitchability.

At number 3 is RHP Marcelo Perez (J.B. Alexander HS). The 5-foot-11, 165-pound TCU recruit had a stellar summer, showing a low-90's fastball and a swing-and-miss slider.

RHP/SS Derrick Cherry (Goose Creek Memorial HS) the 6-foot-1, 185-pound Houston recruit is another two-way talent that shows athleticism and high-end all-around tools. Rounding out the top 5 is Adam Kloffenstein (Magnolia HS). The 6-foot-5, 200-pound TCU recruit showcases an upper-80's fastball and a swing-and-miss slider.
