On October 10th the PBR Texas Staff traveled to Lake Dallas HS to host the DFW Fall ID. The event featured more than 50 2023-2026 prospects from around the state and provided our staff an ample look at every player in attendance.

We continue the analysis from the event with a look at all of the Pitchers in attendance. We broke down the top-three Pitchers on the day followed by the rest of the Pitchers in attendance.

TOP pitchers

1. Jack Sharp, Rockwall Heath, 2024
Positional Profile: RHP/OF Really opened some eyes during his bullpen. Hasn't thrown a lot of big innings yet, but the stuff is there to really make some noise in '23. Clean arm, with velocity that continues to rise. Has a good feel for his secondary pitches. Will be a must follow in the Spring.
Body: 6-0, 160-pounds.
Delivery: Controlled and consistent tempo, lands square to the catcher, shows good balance over the rubber, repeats release point and landing spot well.
Arm Action: RH. Long, clean, quick arm action, high 3/4 slot.
FB: T90.4, 89-90 mph. FB touched 90, has a Hop + and Rise + score of 95. Should play up in the zone well. T2344, 2272 average rpm.
CB: 72-72 mph. True 2 plane breaker. Gets good depth on the pitch and has a sweep + score of 104. A Swing and Miss Pitch T2591, 2487 average rpm.
SL: 72-74 mph. T2486, 2460 average rpm.
CH: 79-80 mph. Good arm action and showed the ability to kill the spin. Came out of the hand just like his FB. Not a lot of movement but good deception. T1793, 1716 average rpm.

2. T.J. McCraw, Wichita Falls, 2024
Positional Profile: RHP/OF
Body: 6-2, 160-pounds.
Delivery: Drop and drive delivery, falls off to 1B side, repeats release point and landing spot consistently, works with a slight crossfire, quick tempo and repeats it well.
Arm Action: RH. Long, whippy arm action from a low 3/4 slot
FB: T84.6, 81-84 mph. Strikes at the bottom of the zone and some arm-side, flashed good arm-side run. T2093, 1941 average rpm.
SL: 67-69 mph. Sweeper action, flashed ability to land it in the zone glove-side, flashed ability to put it in swing and miss locations. T2146, 2089 average rpm.
CH: 72-77 mph. Arm-side action with good depth and late action, showed good intent of keeping it arm-side and at or below the knees. T1657, 1509 average rpm.

3. Brayden Renz, Midland Christian, 2025
Positional Profile: 2B/RHP
Body: 5-9, 145-pounds.
Delivery: Drop and drive delivery, controlled tempo, consistent release point, works straight down the mound, falls off to 1B side slightly.
Arm Action: RH. Medium arm action, high 3/4 slot.
FB: T83.2, 81-83 mph. Flashed good arm-side run and good IVB at times, strikes to both sides of the plates. T2232, 2044 average rpm.
SL: 71-73 mph. Flashed ability to land for strikes glove-side T2295, 2257 average rpm.
CH: 74-75 mph. Flashed arm-side action, flashed intent to keep the pitch at or below the knees. T2001, 1973 average rpm.

Arm Action:  LH. Shorter Arm Action, from high 3/4 slot
FB: T79, 77-79 mph.  Keeps on the bottom of the zone with some sink and fade. T1661, 1556 average rpm.
CB: 71-72 mph.  Tight, short break on the pitch. More of a pitch to generate weak contact. Shows good command of the pitch. T1800, 1739 average rpm.
