HOUSTON, TX - 2019 RHP/OF Sammy Faltine is a talented baseball player beyond his years.  Faltine, a Texas recruit, is ranked No. 3 in Texas 2019 class, and No. 11 in PBR Overall Ranking. On Thursday night he delivered a two-RBI double, and dominated the game on the mound. The right-hander went seven innings in a complete game effort, allowing two runs on five hits, three walks and ten strikeouts.
The Tigers came out swinging in the top of the 2nd when Cole Turney, an Arkansas recruit, singled sharply as did 2018 2B Jaren Burks. Hitting in the eight-hole, Faltine drove the ball down the right field line, driving in both Burks and Turney.

Those early runs proved more than enough for Faltine, who mixed a good fastball that he controlled on the outside part of the plate, and a tight slider that had a good North Shore program on their heels.

North Shore was led at the plate by their three seniors; 2017 OF Isaiah Henry (Alvin JC recruit), 2017 SS Jorden Hussein (Crowder JC recruit) and DH Josh Larzabal (Rice recruit).  Hussein also dazzled with his glove as one of the best defensive shortstops in the Houston area. 2017 RHP Aaron Celestino battled for the Mustangs, going five innings and striking out six, giving up four runs. Ranked No. 43 in PBR Draft 100, Cole Turney delivered the nail in the coffin when he cleared the bases with triple off the wall in the top of the 7th inning. That three run swing erased the two runs that North Shore had scored in the bottom of the 6th. Final Score: Travis 7, North Shore 2.
