PBR: What was your summer experience like?

DM: My summer experience was memorable but bittersweet because it was most likely my last time playing with my friends.

PBR: What are your high school team's expectations for the spring?

DM: Our expectation as a team is not to win a certain amount of games, it is to come together and pull for each other and let the game came to us.

PBR: What are your personal goals as you look ahead?

DM: Hopefully I can really influence some younger guys and help them become better ball players, also I wouldn't mind setting a record for clear springs.

PBR: What part of your game do you think you need to improve the most?

DM: I would say hitting more for contact or just discipline.

PBR: Who is the toughest pitcher you faced?

DM: Alex Scherff no doubt. That man can chunk.

PBR: What are your interests outside of baseball?

DM: I like hanging out with my friends, Xbox, and just having a good time.

PBR: Is there another player you model your game after?

DM: Jose Fernandez. I try to model that passion and ferocity that he embodied when I play.

PBR: What was on your checklist when you were looking for a college program?

DM: The education fit my interests. The facilities and the coaching staff.

PBR: What drew you to commit to the school you picked?

DM: It felt like the best place for me to be at to become successful.

PBR: Is there a moment or achievement so far in your career that stands out from the rest?

DM: Competing in the Area Code Games.
