Texas Scouting Director

It's been a long, action-packed fall season throughout Texas. Much has happened over the course of the two-plus months since the launch of PBR Texas, all of which is reflected in our comprehensive 2019 Texas Top 50.

This is the first PBR Texas ranking of the 2019 class, with updates to come in the early spring, after our three winter events and before the high school season kicks off. To see our complete list of events click here.

Since its inception in 2005, the Prep Baseball Report has evolved into one of the country's biggest and most respected independent scouting services, with a singular focus of providing comprehensive coverage in every state we are in. The mission of the Prep Baseball Report is to promote high school baseball and, ultimately, help prep athletes achieve their dreams of playing baseball at the next level.

Today we take a more in-depth look at the Top 10 players in the state.

Coming in at #6 is infielder Brett Baty (Lake Travis HS). The Texas recruit stands 6-foot-3, 190-pound, athletic, strong frame. The left-handed hitter has a solid swing with good rhythm, leverage, and strength in the barrel.

Outfielder Logan Britt (All Saints Episcopal HS), is our #7 ranked player. The 6-foot-4, 190-pound, Texas A&M recruit has a strong, athletic, projectable frame. Britt is a talented all-around player that runs well and has good power from the right side with lots of upside.

Jacob Meador (Centennial HS), has the #8 ranking. The TCU recruit and right-handed pitcher stands 5-foot-10, 170-pounds. Meador works from a high-¾ slot with an athletic delivery. The fastball has some arm-side run at 87-89 mph with a swing-and-miss slider with slurvey-type action and good depth.

Talented LHP/OF Austin Wallace (Flower Mound HS), is ranked #9. Wallace, a Texas recruit, stands 6-foot-3, 205-pounds with a strong frame. Wallace has an advanced feel for 3 pitches with a mid-80's fastball and more to come. Rounding out the top ten is shortstop Jaden Woodson (Jesuit College Prep). The Texas recruit stands 6-foot-1, 175-pounds, with projectable all-around tools.
