SAN ANTONIO, TX - Here are the scout notes and video from Churchill's win over O'Connor last week in the UIL Playoffs.

Jack Neely, RHP, Churchill High School, 2018
Texas Commit – After an up and down first inning which included 2 HBP and 2 unearned runs on one hit, as well as three strikeouts, Neely was masterful. In the 5-inning CG, he tallied 9 strikeouts and limited O’Connor to the lone hit in the first inning. His fastball sat in the 90-93 mph range all night, and he worked heavily with a 72-75 mph 12/6 shape curveball that showed tight spin and good depth. Neely was also solid from a defensive manner making two tough plays off of the mound, fielding a high chopper for a bang-bang play and turning a double play from a shallow bunt. Neely had 97 pitches on the evening, 62 for strikes, and his final fastball of the night clocked in at 91.
