DALLAS, TX - 2017 RHP Michael Leaumont led the Marcus Marauders to a game one victory over Arlington Martin on Thursday night in front of a packed house at Dallas Baptist University. Leaumont, a Louisiana Lafayette recruit, threw a five inning complete game shutout against a potent offense from Arlington Martin. The senior allowed only one hit, one walk, and struck out three. Just as important was Leaumont’s offensive output, as he went 2-for-3 with three RBI.

Marcus was firing on all cylinders Thursday night as 8-of-9 starters collected hits, with Ridge Rogers and Leaumont having multiple hits, and senior Hampton Hall driving in three runs of his own.

The Marauders struck first with a run in the top of the first. Then they hung a seven spot on the board in the top of the third, sending ten hitters to the plate. Marcus would add to their lead with 2 in the fourth and 1 in fifth, ending the game on a run-rule victory. Final Score: Marcus 11, Martin 0.

These two teams will meet again Friday at 5:00 at Dallas Baptist.
