FORT WORTH, TX - On July 20, our PBR Texas Staff hosted the North TX Upperclass Games at Texas Christian University. The event featured a highly talented group of prospects from the 2022-2023 classes that went through a pre-game workout followed by live game pleay. Here is a look at some of our staff's first impressions from the day.
2022 Trent Rucker had an all-around quality day running a 6.70 60, throwing 87 from the outfield and 88 on the bump, and had a max exit velocity of 97.74 during BP.
2022 Dalton Carnes also had an all-around quality day running a 6.75 60, throwing 86 from the outfield, and had a max exit velocity of 99.31 during BP.
2022 Dylan Brown had a good round of BP, having a max exit velocity of 97.49 mph.
2022 Ethan Bourg had an all-around quality day running a 7.08 60, throwing 89 from the outfield, and had a max exit velocity of 96.71 during BP.
2022 Kyle Lewis had a quality day running a 6.90 60, throwing 88 from the outfield, and had a max exit velocity of 95.02 during BP.
2022 Damien Johnson also had a quality day running a 6.74 60 and then had a max exit velocity of 91.35 during BP.
2022 Charlie Barker ran well in the 60, running a 6.79 and then had a max exit velocity of 92.34 during BP.
2022 Connor Keithley also ran well in the 60, running a 6.82 and then threw 86 from the outfield.
2022 Dylan Darnall had the top infield velo at 89 and had a max exit velocity of 93.43 during BP.
2022 Keaton Laidley had a quality day running a 6.97 60, threw 86 across the infield, and had a max exit velocity of 92.99 during BP.
2022 Jonathon Gonzales had a quality day as well, running a 6.86 60, threw 84 across the infield, and had a max exit velocity of 93.26 during BP. He also had a couple nice hits during the game action.
2022 Braedyn Cunningham and Colin Huspen each had the top velocity on the mound, topping at 88.
2023 Blade Carver had the top catcher velocity at 83 with a 2.13 pop time, and also had a max exit velocity of 92.33 during BP.
2022 Michael Smosna had the top pop time at 2.01 with a velocity of 82 from behind the plate, and was up to 86 on the mound during the game.
2022 Cash Riley had the top outfield velo at 91 and had a max exit velocity of 94.63 during BP.
