Each week, PBR Texas will be showcasing a Hitter Of The Week. The talent level in this state is second-to-none, and our Scouting Staff is covering games and evaluating players on a daily basis. This weeks pitcher of the week hails from Waco Midway HS and is a junior committed to Baylor.

Will Rigney, RHP, Midway HS, 2019
Baylor commit. At 6-foot-4, 190-pounds, Rigney has a projectable, strong, pitchers frame. The right-hander works from a high-¾ slot with a long arm stroke. Good tilt on his fastball at 89-91, topping out once at 92 in the first inning. His slider sat 76-78 the entire night with 11/5 shape. He flashed a couple of changeups that had heavy sink at 81 and 83 mph. Earned the win after going six scoreless, allowing one hit, zero runs, one walk, and striking out thirteen batters.
