SEASON PREVIEW

Coach Roper's Lee Rebels will be led by three of the top players in the the Texas 2018 Class. RHP Bo Blessie, a Nebraska recruit, is ranked No. 6 in the state, No. 33 Overall, and No. 43 in the 2018 PBR Draft 100. The right-hander showed electric stuff at the Area Code Games out in Long Beach, CA this summer. His fastball was 92-94 with life, while his slider was 80-82 with sharp break and tight spin. Anchoring the defense will be 2018 SS Ty Coleman, a Texas A&M recruit that earned All-State and All-District awards last season and is ranked No. 28 in Texas. Coleman flies around the infield and plays defense with advanced actions and feel for the game. The right-handed hitter packs a punch at the plate, last season he hit at a .410 clip with 13 doubles. Right next to Coleman on the infield is Oklahoma State recruit 3B/RHP Adam Becker. Last season Becker had 4 HR's and hit .329 on his way to being selected All-State and All-District. Coach Roper will look to Becker to add some innings this year on the mound as well. 2019 LHP J.J. Melendez and 2019 RHP Noah Harrison will add depth for the Rebels on the mound. All-District 2018 C Colby Standard returns behind the plate, as well as 2018 C/DH Chase Pederson. 2018 2B Kasey Blackmon, 2018 OF Omar Ruiz, and 2019 OF Logan Acosta will help sure up the defense and provide added firepower to the lineup.
