TX Player & Pitcher of the Week: Week 2

Each week during the high school season, we will be announcing the Pitcher and Player of the Week for that particular week. Numerous players across the state continue to put up impressive numbers both as position players and pitchers on the mound. This year we will be selecting one Pitcher of the Week and one Player of the Week based on nominations from high school coaches across the state.

Urim Ibrahimi 3B / SS / Mansfield Legacy, TX / 2023

The Midland College commit had a very productive week at the plate fro Mansfield Legacy. The senior collected eight hits in twelve at bats, including three home runs, a double and seven RBI. He also drew seven walks. We have seen Ibrahimi do well in showcase & gameplay previously but this will certainly be a week to remember for him as he continues his senior campaign.

Robert X. Mitchell LHP / OF / Prestonwood Christian, TX / 2025

The University of Texas commit was lights out in his start this week. With PBR National Crosschecker, Shooter Hunt in attendance, the southpaw did not disappoint. X went five innings of no hit baseball striking out thirteen along the way en route to a 10-0 victory. the 5th ranked player in the '25 Texas class continues to pitch at a high level and we are looking for ward to seeing him for the rest of the season and beyond.
