Each week during the high school season, we will be announcing the Pitcher and Player of the Week for that particular week. Numerous players across the state continue to put up impressive numbers both as position players and pitchers on the mound. This year we will be selecting one Pitcher of the Week and one Player of the Week based on nominations from high school coaches across the state.
2024 RHP/INF Cade Plunkett - Frisco HS - Uncommitted
Plunkett played a big role for the Raccoons this past week. He drove in three runs on four hits with two doubles and also stood out on the mound. Plunkett allowed no hits through four innings of work while striking out eight and only walking one. It is good to see Plunkett back and healthy after being sidelined the last two years.
2024 RHP Wesley Peck - The Colony - Uncommitted
Peck had a great outing for The Colony in week four. The Junior RHP tossed a complete game, no hitter with fourteen strikeouts and only two walks. This came against a 12-2 Creekview team and got The Colony off the a 1-0 start.
