With the summer recruiting season in full swing, there are still a number of quality infielders that are getting a lot of attention. Here are ten uncommitted infielders that have stood out from our previous events.

MASON LAPLANTESS / 2B / ALLEN, TX / 2018

5-foot-10, 155-pound, lean, fast-twitch frame. LaPlante started the day by running a 6.79-second 60-yard dash. At shortstop, he plays catch at an elite level, he has smooth actions, quick footwork, takes good angles and makes the play on the run look easy with accurate throws. LaPlante is a high academic student that has interest in academic schools, including military academies. For those schools looking for plus defender in the middle of the field, LaPlante is a player they will want to see sooner rather than later.

JACK SIGRISTSS / 2B / PLANO WEST, TX / 2018

6-foot, 185-pound, strong, muscular frame. Segrist put together one of the better days at the Houston Area Code Tryouts on Tuesday, beginning with his 6.66-second 60-yard dash. The right-handed hitter was aggressive at the plate, barreling up three balls on the nose vs. elite arms. He smoked a line drive on a first pitch fastball at third base, then homered to deep left field, and in his third at bat he singled to right-centerfield on a 92 mph fastball. Sigrist has added strength to an already athletic frame this summer and shows excellent bat speed with the ability to handle velocity, as well as stay on off-speed pitches. Sigrist, who played second base at Plano West this year, has a chance to move to shortstop this year. He profiles as an offensive infielder at the collegiate level and will be a nice addition to a recruiting class. He plays for Frozen Ropes during the summer and is a high academic student.

JACKSON LOFTINSS / 2B / KLEIN COLLINS, TX / 2018

6-foot, 175-pound, athletic, high-waisted frame. Loftin backed up his current ranking in the Texas 2018 class on Tuesday, posting a 6.94-second 60-yard dash time and making accurate throws with good backspin at 85 mph across the diamond. His arm works easy from a high-3/4 slot with a quick, fluid release. Loftin has real presence at shortstop and moves with easy, fluid actions. The ball sticks in his glove and he makes clean exchanges in the mid-line of his body. He is already garnering a lot of attention from Division 1 schools and with his projectable frame a strong arm, he will be a nice commit for whichever school he chooses.
