Our boots-on-the-ground scouting staff is constantly on the road evaluating talent throughout the entire year, from the High School season, travel ball in the summer, Fall League Games, or PBR Events, we aim to be your number one source for amatuer baseball scouting news. Our multimedia platforms and events work in tandem, ultimately creating the most powerful source of high school baseball promotion in Texas.

As players mature and develop at different rates, there are a number of factors to evaluate, from current skill levels, strength and speed, to long-term projectablity and athleticism. While players are constantly improving and making jumps in development, strength and skill set, our rankings can and will change as each class grows through normal progression over four years. Today we expand the 2020 class to 310 with the addition of 60 players from fall events. With a good amount of shuffling taking place, lets look at the top five.

+ Taking the No. 1 spot in Texas is Catcher Drew Romo (The Woodlands HS), fresh off a Gold Medal performance with Team USA 18U. The LSU commit is an elite defender behind the plate with outstanding arm strength and true carry on throws to second base with sub-2.0 pop times. At the plate, the switch-hitter has a balanced, athletic swing, with easy rhythm and pop to go with great feel.

+ Coming in at No. 2 is TCU commit, RHP Jared Kelley (Refugio HS) who pitches in the mid-to-upper 90’s. The ball comes out clean from a high-¾ slot with a relative low-effort delivery. The velocity is premium, and so is his ability to spin a sharp slider at 78-83.

+ Talented two-way guy SS/RHP Masyn Winn (Kingwood HS) is at No. 3. The Arkansas commit has a fastball with late life and gitty-up that has been up to 95 (mostly 90-93). His slider is a wipeout pitch 76-79 mph with tight rotation and sharp 11/5 depth. The right-hander also mixes in a 78-79 mph changeup with fastball arm speed. On the infield, Winn has athletic, smooth actions and threw 93 mph across the diamond.

+ Moving up to No. 4 is TCU commit SS Cole Foster (Plano Senior HS), who can play all three infield positions. The switch-hitter has continued to impress our staff with his ability to hit from both sides of the plate with power and feel for the barrel. Foster was a standout performer at the PBR Limited Series this summer and rolled that right into an impressive fall with the Mets Scout Team.
