QUICK HITS
Luke Williams (Smithson Valley, 2026), a 6'6", 172-pound RHP/OF, possesses a long, lanky build with a highly projectable pitcher’s frame. His fastball sits at 85-88 mph, showing consistent tail and sink with a max spin rate of 2402 rpm, we expected to see a velocity jump as he continues to gain strength. He demonstrates an advanced feel for his curveball, which sits at 72 mph with quality spin (max 2458 rpm), and his changeup (78-82 mph) features turnover fade action and solid deception. With a smooth delivery, developing arm speed, and a frame built for adding strength, Williams is a fun prospect to watch and has as much projection as anyone in the state.
Preston Farragut (Dallas Jesuit, 2027), a 6'1", 192-pound SS/OF, showcases a strong, athletic frame with room to add strength as he matures. A switch-hitter, his left-handed swing is smooth and efficient, utilizing his lower half well, while his right-handed swing shows potential with a pull approach. With a max exit velocity of 98 mph and a max distance of 345 feet, Farragut demonstrates a solid bat/power combo with room to grow. Defensively, he exhibits good footwork, agility, and body control, though he could benefit from fielding the ball more consistently out front. His arm strength (82 mph from the infield) shows carry, complementing his athleticism and 6.91-second 60-yard dash. Fun Player.
Maxwell Satterwhite (McCallum, 2026), a 6'2", 190-pound 1B/RHP, boasts a solid frame with room to add strength as he matures. A right-handed hitter, his upright stance and firm front-side hitting mechanics set a foundation for a promising bat/power combination, highlighted by a max exit velocity of 97 mph and a max distance of 354 feet. Defensively, Satterwhite is a steady first baseman with solid hands and accurate throws. With his physical tools and potential for power, Satterwhite is an exciting player to watch as he continues to develop.
Jackson Ritz (Clifton, 2027), a 5'8", 155-pound 3B/SS, is an athletic infielder with room to fill out his frame and add strength. At the plate, he keeps it simple with a solid, on-time approach that produces consistent line-drive contact to all fields. His swing works well, with a firm front side and good barrel control, but adding some linear movement to his lower half could unlock more power. He’s already showing potential with a 96 mph max exit velocity and a 344-foot max distance. Defensively, Ritz moves well with a quick first step, solid hands, and good body control. His arm strength (80 mph across the infield) is solid, and he can improve by working on throws from different angles. He’s a 6.83 runner in the 60 and should get even quicker as he gets stronger. Ritz is a gamer who’ll be fun to follow as he keeps developing.
Elliott Proppe (Lake Travis, 2027), a 5'11", 175-pound C/OF, is a projectable athlete with room to add strength and develop into a high-impact player. At the plate, he shows flashes of quality with a solid swing foundation, but consistency will come with adjustments. He needs to clean up his posture and better utilize his lower half to maximize his ability to drive the baseball. Despite these areas for growth, his potential is clear, with a max exit velocity of 94 mph and a 319-foot max distance. Behind the plate, Proppe has a 2.02-2.13 pop time with accurate throws (75 mph) and developing carry. His feet and exchange work well, though refining his receiving skills will take him to the next level. A 7.38 runner in the 60, he shows solid athleticism that will continue to improve with strength. Proppe has the tools and upside to become a difference-maker as he puts it all together.
Zakary Wood (Dayton, 2026), a 5'11", 190-pound catcher, has a strong, projectable frame with the athleticism to keep improving. At the plate, he shows solid bat speed (73.6 mph) and raw power potential, with a max exit velocity of 96 mph and a 373-foot max distance. Fine-tuning his lower half and shortening his swing path will help him unlock even more consistency at the plate. Defensively, Wood displays a strong arm (80 mph) with quick pop times (1.99-2.05) and reliable footwork and exchange. His receiving skills are solid, and he runs a 7.25 in the 60. With his raw tools and room to grow, Wood is a promising prospect to watch in the coming years.
Jackson "Jack" Wells (Marion, 2027), a 6'2", 185-pound OF/RHP, has an athletic frame with plenty of room to add strength. A right-handed hitter, Wells shows a solid foundation at the plate with a pull approach, a 90 mph max exit velocity, and a 330-foot max distance. Refining his lower-half mechanics and developing a gap-to-gap approach will help him unlock more consistency and power as he matures. Defensively, Wells stands out with a strong arm (91 mph from the outfield, 83 mph infield) and good range, projecting as a potential plus outfielder. On the mound, his arm speed and athleticism suggest future velocity increases, with flashes of quality secondary stuff. A 6.72 runner in the 60, he combines speed and athleticism, making him an exciting all-around prospect with significant upside.
Scott Knight (Rouse, 2026), a 5'11", 160-pound SS/RHP, is an athletic, quick player with room to add strength as he develops. At the plate, Knight is a line-drive hitter with a simple approach, showing solid contact and room to improve with adjustments. On the mound, he works exclusively from the stretch, showcasing a clean delivery and developing arm speed. His fastball sits at 81 mph with room for a velocity spike, complemented by a curveball (68-70 mph, 2226 rpm) and slider (69-71 mph, 2266 rpm) that flash solid spin and potential, along with a fading changeup at 77-78 mph. Defensively, his quickness and athleticism stand out, and he runs a 6.73 60-yard dash, with speed likely to improve as he adds strength. Knight is a well-rounded athlete and an intriguing prospect to follow as he continues to refine his game.
