TOP 10 UNCOMMITTED 2026'S

+ #2 2026 OF/C Jorvorskie Lane Jr. - O.D. Wyatt HS

One of the premier athletes of the 2026 class, Lane has one of the loudest tool sets you will find. From plus athleticism and speed, to electric bat speed, Lane can really impact the game in a multitude of ways. A one time A&M commit, Lane has plenty of suitors for his services. Lane is also one of the younger kids in the class as well, that could make him even more attractive come draft time. This fall Lane has shined on the gridiron, but we are excited to get out and see the #2 player in Texas this spring.

The 2024 Future Gamer has some of the biggest raw power in the class to go along with being a good athlete. A 6.7 runner, Walker already has some physicality to him that should let him be a power/speed threat in college.  Walker can make any field look small, and I'm excited to see Walker this spring with his loaded Lutheran South team.

Another Future Gamer, we have been on the Behan bandwagon for a long time.  The Houston product is a strong, athletic infielder who has had a lot of success in game and shows the tools to continue to get better. Behan should stick on the left side of the infield, where his athleticism ends up probably determines short or 3rd.  He has plenty of arm strength for either position. Behan performed well at Lakepoint with a HR and a couple other hits in game, and made multiple good plays.  Behan’s swing has some length, if he makes some adjustments there, I think he has another level to take.

McCraw was a Jr. Future Gamer a couple of years ago, and continues to be one of the top shortstops in Texas.  The LHH infielder from Houston is a good defender at short and has the athleticism and arm strength to stay there long term. At the plate, McCraw has made some adjustments over the last year and I really liked where his swing was at State Games. He is at his best when he is staying in the big part of the field, using the gaps. Ronin plays with a quiet confidence, and will make any program better.

The two way product from Aledo is another Future Gamer from this past summer, and he is one of the more intriguing prospects in this class. He isn’t the tallest player in the state, but he is strong and has some serious quick twitch in his game.  He has power to all fields from the left side of the plate. He can go back side bomb just as easily as he can pull one, and there is some impact in the bat. It is a plus arm from the outfield, and he profiles best in right. Where Lucas is most coveted is on the mound. He sits in the low 90’s from the left side and is an analytics darling. He has a low release height to go with high IVB, and has a fastball that flashes plus characteristics. Pair that with the making of a plus slider, and can you see why Lucas has had a busy fall of visits.

Benavides is one of my favorite players in the state to watch compete. The Houston product plays with bounce and a lot of confidence. He is a plus runner and has a plus arm to go with it. I think he could be a plus defender on the left side of the infield and I think he could be dynamic in center field as well.  At the plate, the swing plays and he has surprising pop for his frame. Benavides needs to get stronger and put some weight on his frame. If he shows up next year more physical, I think he could be one of the biggest risers in the state next year.
Dolan is an interesting profile, he shows a lot of promise behind the plate with some juice in the box, but at the same time he can really carve on the mound. The one time Missouri commit has a physical build that makes you think catcher when you see him. He is a good receiver and obviously has a strong arm behind the plate. There is power in the bat and he could add some thump from the catcher position. Dolan also shows some pitch ability on the mound to go with good stuff. He is a strike thrower and the stuff continues to tick up. As hard as it is to find good catching, Dolan should be in high demand this spring.

One of my personal favorites in the state, Mihaly is fun to watch compete. He isn’t the biggest guy you have ever met, but he toes the rubber with supreme confidence and generally just carves his opponents up. His fastball sits in the upper 80’s and has been up higher at times, and it comes from a super low release, which Mihaly knows fully how to pitch with. He dominates at the top of the zone and throws what appears to be an invisible fastball at times.  He compliments that with 2 above average secondaries, that helps him navigate through a lineup multiple times. There may be some who seem him as a reliever at the next level, but I think he deserves a chance to start.

Corral has become one of my favorite catchers to watch play in the state over the last year. Going to watch former Prep Baseball All American, Dasan Hill, last year, I saw just how easy Corral can handle an elite arm behind the plate. A catcher's #1 job is to give his pitcher supreme confidence and make him feel great about what he is doing, and I don’t think there is anyone that worked with their pitchers better than Corral last spring. It is contact over power at the plate right now, but there is a lot of strength that needs to be gained, and if that happens I think Corral has another level offensively.

Another Future Gamer, Keller has a big arm and I think he has a chance to be one of the harder throwers in this class. The San Antonio righty has a big arm that can creep into the mid 90’s but sits in low 9’s right now. When he is in the zone, he is tough to square up and it can be dominant stuff. He can lose the strike zone sometimes, and that is where he needs to get better. He had a dominant inning in the Future Games where he just pounded the strike zone, and he has come up big in some big games.  The breaking ball has a chance to be a swing and miss pitch as well.

QUICK HITS

+ #53 Daylen Foor (MIF, Katy Tompkins) is going to end up being one of the best hitters in Texas for this class, and someone is going to get a steal. Good defender who can hit and shows some juice. Not the best athlete, but has plus instincts and is a guy that makes your program better.

+ #62 Nick Smith (MIF, Mansfield Timberview) is going to hit at a high level for a long time. He is just realizing how good he can be, and I think he is going to keep getting better. Strong, compact build with a swing that plays.  Probably a 2b/3b profile with a plus arm. High academic kid.

+ #63 Nomar Torres (C, LD Bell) was very impressive this fall when I saw him and in a world where it is hard to find good catching, Torres can really catch and throw. He has played a lot of shortstop, so he naturally has good hands behind the plate to go with a strong arm. There is offensive potential as well, and if he continues to get stronger, he could have monster junior season.

+ #67 Luke Tucker (SS, Krum) is one of the more underrated prospects in the state. Not many people know about him, but he is a big physical infielder who shows big power potential from the left side of the plate.

+ #68 Luke Williams (RHP, Smithson Valley) - Out of all of the pitchers in the 2026 class that has a chance to make the biggest jump in the next 18 months, it may be Williams. You can’t teach the frame, and the arm action and mechanics for his size are already really good. If he continues to get stronger, he may be a top 10 type player.

+ #69 Ty Higginbotham (LHP, Atascocita) - If you like pitchers that help you win baseball games, then there aren’t many better than Higgy. He isn’t the most physical and he doesn’t throw the hardest but he can really pitch from the left side and just gets outs. He sits in the mid 80’s and can pitch to all 4 quadrants. His change makes him really tough on righties giving him a chance to start long term. One of the younger players in this class

+ #75 Logan Brown (CIF/RHP, Keller) -  One of my picks to have a monster 2025 season. Super physical 2 way player that is going to open some eyes at Keller High this spring. Corner infielder with plus power potential and been into the low 90’s on the mound.

+ #97 Jacoby Dutchover (OF/LHP, Midland) - I got my first look at Dutchover this fall at State Games and he was super impressive. Not the most physical, but a lefty who can pitch with good stuff and can also swing from the left side. A west texas kid who is a little under recruited, but Dutchover can play.

+ #99 Jaeden Wilson (OF, Allen) - A personal favorite of mine, Wilson has really made strides over the last year. Toolsy outfielder who isn’t even close to being as good as he is going to be, you are starting to see the game slow down for him. Being at Allen High School, Wilson will have a chance to really open some eyes this spring
