On Friday, January 3rd, the PB Texas staff traveled to Weatherford College to host the Fort Worth Preseason ID, an open event for the class of 2025-2028.
More than 30 players made their way to Weatherford and participated in a pro-style workout, gathering unrivaled access to data through our state-of-the-art tech partners, as well as in-depth scouting analysis from our Prep Baseball Texas staff.

Today, we take a look at the scouting reports from each position player in attendance as well as rank the top 6 from the day.

TOP POSITION PLAYERS

Positional Profile: SS/2B LHH/INF Solid build, will continue to add strength in future. Nice bat/power combo in future, solid approach to hit, shows ability to barrel baseball. Defensively steady/sound player. Avg athleticism present. Body: 5-11, 196-pounds. Solid build showing strength to lower. Good frame to add more strength to upper. Will have strong body in future as he matures and adds more strength. Hit: LHH. Knee lift stride, lands in good position to hit. Rotational back foot, drives foot forward including slight linear movement. Solid base, aggressive with lower 1/2. Barrel/hands in good position to launch. Solid swing to hitting zone with slight uphill path. Showing bat speed and developing bat strength. 69.5 mph bat speed with 13 G's of rotational acceleration. Power: 93 max exit velocity, averaged 79.4 mph. 349' max distance. Solid bat/power combo in future. Aggressive swing. Does a nice job of getting into position to hit. Arm: RH. INF-83 mph. Arm works well, shows ability to throw from all angles. Carry to throws present. Defense: Solid defender with actions present. Feel work well getting to baseball and getting body into position to field. Hands work, glove in good position. Range is fine. ATH: 7.52 runner in the 60. Solid start. Slightly upright runner, head back. Can improve with lean forward and head down some.
