Mizuno Pitcher & Hitter of the Week (Week 5)

Each week during the high school season, we will be announcing the Mizuno Pitcher and Player of the Week for that particular week. Numerous players across the state continue to put up impressive numbers both as position players and pitchers on the mound. This year we will be selecting one Pitcher of the Week and one Player of the Week based on nominations from high school coaches across the state.
Thank you to the many high school coaches that sent in nominations this week.
Let's take a look at the Mizuno Player and Pitcher of the Week for Week 5 (Mar 17-Mar 23).
MIZUNO PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Blake Quinn 1B / CALALLEN H S, TX / 2026Quinn had an outstanding performance in Week 5 for Calallen High School, delivering a perfect 1.000 batting average by going 8-for-8 at the plate. He showcased his power with two doubles and drove in an impressive 11 RBIs. Quinn also drew 2 walks and scored 5 runs. The LHH uncommitted first basemen had himself a week.

Caldwell McFaddin 1B / RHP / Magnolia West, TX / 2025Rankings StateRank: 54 / POS: 2
The Baylor recruit delivered a strong performance for Magnolia West, throwing a 73-pitch, seven-inning complete game shutout against top-ranked Tomball. McFaddin was in total command, allowing just three hits while striking out five and issuing no walks. His efficiency on the mound was key in shutting down a powerful offense, leading Magnolia West to a statement victory.
