Evolving the Power 30: Introducing the Small School Top 10
Texas high school baseball is stacked with talent across all classifications, and at Prep Baseball Texas, we’ve worked to highlight the best teams with our Power 30 rankings. Through the first two updates of the 2025 season, we’ve ranked the top teams in the state, regardless of classification. But after a competitive tournament season, we’re making a key adjustment to better spotlight programs across the board.
Moving forward, we’ll be rolling out two rankings every two weeks:
- The Power 30, now focusing exclusively on 6A and 5A teams, giving a clearer picture of the best big-school programs in Texas.
- The Small School Top 10, a brand-new ranking highlighting the top private schools and Class 4A and below programs, ensuring standout performances at smaller schools aren’t overlooked.
This change allows us to recognize more programs having exceptional seasons, no matter their classification. With that, let’s jump into the latest rankings.
