On Saturday, January 5th, the PB Texas staff traveled to Rice University to host the South Texas Preseason All-State, an invite-only event for the class of 2025-2028.
More than 60 players made their way to Rice University and participated in a pro-style workout, gathering unrivaled access to data through our state-of-the-art tech partners, as well as in-depth scouting analysis from our Prep Baseball Texas staff.

Today, we take a look at the scouting reports from each outfielder in attendance as well as rank the top performers from the day.

Positional Profile: OF/RHP RHH/OF Good build to add strength. Athleticism present, plus run now. Solid defender in OF with arm strength present. Hard contact off barrel, hit with power. Interesting tools to follow. Body: 6-0, 195-pounds. Good build/frame showing strength, will continue to add strength in future for solid/strong build. Hit: RHH. Open stance, lands in good position to hit. Solid use of lower 1/2 in swing. Hits into firm front side. Occasionally upper torso lays back slightly at point of contact, other times shows more upright posture. Efficient, solid hit approach. Barrel/hands in good launch position. Shows bat/hand speed with strength present. Solid path to zone. 77.9 mph bat speed with 16 G's of rotational acceleration. Power: 108 max exit velocity, averaged 100.1 mph. 355' max distance. Good bat/power combo in future with hard contact. Solid hit approach and swing present. Will impact baseball. Arm: RH. OF-95 mph. Arm works, solid arm strength, some tailing action to throws. Defense: Moves fine to baseball, hands work fine fielding. Solid glove to hand exchange. ATH: 6.54 runner in the 60. Good start, runs well. Plus runner, chance to develop into well abv avg runner.
