The Director's List: Texas Preseason All-State Pitchers

Prep Baseball Texas kicked off the 2025 season with two electric Preseason All-State events, showcasing some of the finest arms across the Lone Star State. Hosted at premier venues—Rice University and TCU—these events brought together the best high school pitchers from Texas.
The talent on display was nothing short of extraordinary, with 7 pitchers breaking the 90-mph threshold and 12 exceeding 88 mph. Leading the charge was Josh Horvath, who clocked an event-high 93.4 mph, setting the tone for a competitive season ahead.

Graeson Register RHP / 3B / Greenwood, TX / 2026"A Future Gamer and Texas A&M commit, RHP Graeson Register (Midland Greenwood, 2026) continues to raise his profile with every outing. Standing out for his easy, athletic delivery, he moves exceptionally well down the mound, allowing him to command four pitches with impressive precision. His fastball sits 88–89 mph—having touched the low 90s—accompanied by a curveball (75–76 mph), a slider (77–78 mph), and a changeup (79–81 mph). He delivered an electric performance at the Future Games and looks primed for a monster junior season." |

Aiden Shreve RHP / Pieper, TX / 2026"Aiden Shreve (Pieper, 2026), a 6'4", 200-pound RHP and Baylor commit is an exciting prospect with a highly projectable frame and a bright future. A Future Games participant last summer, his progression over the last two years has been fun to watch, and he’s only scratching the surface of where he’s headed. His delivery is smooth and efficient, utilizing his lower half well and working over his front leg with strong chest engagement. The fastball sits 87-90 mph, topping at 91, with solid plane and the ability to play both down in the zone and elevated. He’s a strike thrower and projects to gain more velocity as he continues to mature. His slider (78-81 mph) flashes sharp action and has the potential to be a consistent out pitch with improved release. The changeup (81-83 mph) features tail and sink, showing as a quality secondary pitch with continued development. With his physicality and upside, he’s a must-watch arm in the coming years." |

He moves effortlessly down the mound, generating a clean, explosive arm action that allows his fastball to reach 93.4 mph with more in the tank. Standing 6 2 and 188 pounds, he repeats his delivery well and works with a calm, slow heartbeat on the mound. The left-hander pairs an easy motion with a strong, projectable frame, making him one of the latest standouts from Mount Pleasant.
