WEEK 4
Drayton Mitchell
Position: OF/LHP
School: Corpus Christi Calallen High (2026)
Commitment: Uncommitted
Drayton Mitchell, an uncommitted junior for Calallen, had a standout performance, launching a home run over the right-field scoreboard in Calallen's win. He has a projectable frame with some bat speed and is showing the potential to be a true two-way prospect. Mitchell is a big part of why Calallen
Cooper Newby
Position: C
School: Southlake Carroll High School (2027)
Commitment: Uncommitted
Cooper Newby, an uncommitted sophomore catcher for Southlake Carroll, had a solid performance last night. The switch-hitter collected a couple of hits from the left side off a talented arm. Behind the plate, Newby really stood out, handling a premium arm well and making an impressive pick on a tough ball in the dirt, leading to a back pick at second base. With a projectable frame, Newby has plenty of upside as both a hitter and a defender, making him a player to watch as he continues to develop.
Collier Carroll
Position: LHP
School: Calallen High School (2026)
Commitment: Uncommitted
Collier Carroll, an uncommitted left-handed pitcher for Calallen, threw a complete-game shutout on Friday night for the Wildcats. His fastball sat between 84-86 mph, topping out at 87 mph, and he mixed in a curveball at 66-67 mph and a changeup at 73-74 mph. Carroll has a clean arm and a three-pitch mix, and his frame suggests he has the potential to add velocity as he develops. He’s a good prospect to know down south, and will continue to be one to watch.
