Outfielders (Prime 9)

Bubba Ellis OF / 3B / Brighton, UT / 2026

Scouting Report: 2/22/25

Positional Profile: OF/3B A player that has really improved his data/metrics and overall game. Has improved from a 7.6/60 as a 8th grader to 7.38 as a freshman, 7.09 as a sophomore to now 6.69. Testament to his hard work and has tools. Can run, has quality data and raw power that's developing. One to definitely keep an eye on this coming spring for the #1 preseason ranked Brighton Bengals!

Body: 5-10, 189-pounds. Small compact frame with filled out muscular features. Overall twitch to his build with present strength

Hit: LHH. Semi crouched with knee flexion and an even prop stance to hit Has a flatter plane on pitches up and down in the sweet spot of the zone, gets some slight uphill to be on-plane with the incoming pitch. 70.7 mph bat speed with 9 G's of rotational acceleration.

Power: 99 max exit velocity, averaged 87.7 mph. 343' max distance. Has emerging power as he hit .298 with 2 HR and 5 2B's as a sophomore. Shows 99 max EV and was 77 as an 8th grader. Consistent improvement over the last 3-4 years. Look for even more power output this coming spring

Arm: RH. OF-84 mph. Clean arm path with an 85 mph and can see 88-89 in his future. Arm works properly

ATH: 6.69 runner in the 60. Has improved his 60 time better than the rest of any class. Twitch to his movement patterns and can really scoot!

Miles Robinson OF / 3B / Skyridge, UT / 2026

Scouting Report: 2/22/25

Positional Profile: OF/3B The surprise of the State Games as he smoked ball after ball at a max EV of 101 and turned heads with a sound stroke to hit and can run! Robinson also was the leader with a 6.69/60 at both the State Games and Preseason All-State, running the same time at both events. Miles showed 4 usable tools with the arm being the only below tool in his tool box. It will be fun to see where this kid ends up over the next two years as the tools are that of a legit D1 prospect!

Body: 6-1, 178-pounds. Strong twitchy athletic build with man strength projection. Well prop and looks the part
Hit: LHH. Conventional semi-crouched athletic LH stance with a simple rock back to load and get to separation at foot strike Flatter to semi uphill to match the plane of the pitch. Sound circular pattern with the stroke and takes a professional BP 74.1 mph bat speed with 13 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 99 max exit velocity, averaged 88.2 mph. 346' max distance. Solid avg raw power that hits LD's with backspin vs loft. Ball jumps from his bat at 393' at the State Games. Can see with his man strength projection, that 400'+ shots are nearer than far away. With two years left the power could really jump

Arm: RH. Arm is BA and his only non hit tool that projects below. LF arm and speed and instincts for CF
Defense: Instinctive defender that just needs reps and quality instruction to get to that quality dependable defender. Routes are okay, jumps are solid.

ATH: 6.68 runner in the 60. 6.69 runner that has the lower 1/2 twitch to run balls down in the OF and go 1st to 3rd at will on the bases with instincts. Still a little raw, but the tools are ahead of the skills, but with two years to go and playing for a big time HC, that used to be the BYU recruiting coordinator, the instruction is top notch to make marked improvements

Dylan Frank OF / 2B / Bingham, UT / 2025

Scouting Report: 2/22/25

Positional Profile: OF/2B Moved to Utah from the Sacramento are before his sophomore year. A Future Games/West Coast Games alum that has fallen through some cracks. Quality D2/High JC type tools. Great makeup!

Body: 6-1, 180-pounds. Tall lean athletic with a streamlined look and twitch

Hit: RHH. Semi crouched slightly open even prop stance. Solid separation between the load and front foot strike LD all fields gap power with occasional pull side juice. More LD alley to alley vs over the fence 79.5 mph bat speed with 10 G's of rotational acceleration.

Power: 99 max exit velocity, averaged 88.0 mph. 332' max distance. Power alley juice and sprays the ball around the field with 100 max EV's.

Arm: RH. OF-88 mph. Can throw and the arm works properly with arm strength nd quality arm stroke.

Defense: Take proper routes and can play all 3 OF spots with solid reads and jumps.

ATH: 6.83 runner in the 60. Moves well with a gliding gate. 6.83/60 with instincts for balls in the dirt and looks for extra bases out of the box

Cooper Goff OF / Mountain Ridge, UT / 2027

Scouting Report: 2/22/25

Committed: Texas Christian

Positional Profile: OF The TCU commit was offered based on strong game play, oozing projections to his overall game and the bloodlines that come with the easy to projs athletic LH bat. Father Mike, I coached against as a catcher in the mid to late 90's at the U of Utah. Brother Parker Goff is the starting catcher at present as Junior at BYU. Cooper gets his season going next week and will be a key bat on a loaded team.

Body: 5-11, 160-pounds. A small frame with a lean athletic build and projects nicely to eventually be a 6-0 185-190 Lb corner OF. Looks the part of an immature body at his age and is ready to takeoff in the next one to two years.

Hit: LHH. An upright even prop stance with his bat in a positional setup to get to quality separation and shows balance in and throughout his quality stroke to hit High contact with minimal swing and miss. A low launch angle (11.5) with a flatter bat path, allows for high contact and the bat stays in the zone a long time. 70.9 mph bat speed with 12 G's of rotational acceleration.

Power: 97 max exit velocity, averaged 87.9 mph. 382' max distance. Flashes big boy power for a 5-11 160 Lb frame. The ball jumps off his bat with a 97 max EV and features quality Blast data for his age and shows data for a player much older and advanced. Speaks to his advance approach to his swing for a young 16 year old prospect.

Arm: RH. OF-77 mph. The arm is his lone tool that needs to come around and playing long toss and really getting after it in the gym will see his 77 mph arm jumped to the mid-80's within a yes's time potentially.
Defense: On par for where he should be at his age. Working on his routes and surrounding balls and getting into a quality position to throw, with a quick and accurate release, should minimize the running game as he gains added arm strength over the next year.
ATH: 7.12 runner in the 60. A 7.1/60 now that more than likely can get to 6.7-6.8 with a passion centered strength program. If he really gets after it in the gym, the leg and thigh strength should see his numbers really jump

Vizual Edge: 72.3 Edge Score

Porter Campbell OF / LHP / Pine View, UT / 2027

Scouting Report: 2/22/25

Positional Profile: OF/LHP The best production of any freshman in the state a year ago. Hit .405 in the 1-2 toughest regions to hit in, as the FB velo is mid to upper 80's and he hit .405 in 101 PA's with 16 extra base hits. 26 RBI from the 7 hole in the order, promises to only increase when he gets some protection behind him in be the lineup. Here's the call to action, that if Porter can dedicate himself to the weight room and put on 15 additional Lb's of muscle and size, Campbell will find himself oh the shortlist for the Future Games

Body: 5-7, 145-pounds. A small pint sized LF with a small frame to get Lb for Lb strong to makeup for the typical profile view of the corner OF type
Hit: RHH. A semi-crouched even proportioned attack to hit, along with the ability to use the whole field allows for added contact and future HR power as his 13 2B's and 3 3B's suggest increased strength as he matures and grows with the added size and strength projs to come later
Power: 92 max exit velocity, averaged 85.8 mph. 326' max distance. 16 extra base hits is a solid year for any HS prospect, let alone a player in his freshman year. Has now set a standard to live up to, but shows the instincts to hit and make proper swing decisions
Arm: LH. OF-78 mph.

ATH: 6.98 runner in the 60. A 6.98 twitchy 60 yard provides hope and promise that with added lower 1/2 strength and side, coupled with twitchy athleticism, a 6.6 type is in the cards and his future

Vizual Edge: 80.14 Edge Score

Trig Richards OF / LHP / Salem Hills, UT / 2027

Scouting Report: 2/22/25

Positional Profile: OF/LHP An athletic two way, that I can see as a hitter first and has a quality swing with more than solid data for his class and age. An athlete that can run, throw and projects pull side juice at maturity.

Body: 5-11, 168-pounds. A projectable 5-11 168, that runs near any and has a streamlined well prop athletic build with avg strength that projects solid over the next 3 years

Hit: LHH. Upright even prop square stance with his bat at shoulder height and rocks back with a slight draw back with the front leg and gets to near solid separation, yet has a quick fire striking motion on approach to the baseball, just before he gets to the full launch pos. Flatter plane with back spin LD's to the center and pull side in BP. Stays on plane well at 70-87% thruout his event looks. Barrel stays in the zone for contact 73.6 mph bat speed with 13 G's of rotational acceleration.

Power: 96 max exit velocity, averaged 91.1 mph. 358' max distance. Latent power as he drives back spin LD's vs loft approach. Stays on pitches and buries his nose to the ball to stay through the baseball. Back of the net type off a tee

Arm: LH. OF-83 mph. An 84 arm with a clean efficient arm stroke with 3 years to go, gives promise for an upper 80's to near 90 in due time

Defense: Tracks balls and gets solid jumps. Just needs to work as most do on his routes and footwork on his breaks to balls side to side and over his head. Will come with time and instruction

ATH: 7.09 runner in the 60. Near any runner at 7.09/60 and as his lower 1/2 fills and strengthens, look for some 6.7-6.8's in his future

Vizual Edge: 89.85 Edge Score

Austin Brown OF / 1B / Wasatch, UT / 2028

Scouting Report: 2/22/25

Body: 6-0, 189-pounds. Lean athletic look with a elite next level type build

Hit: LHH. Upright semi spread and even prop with the bat high and at a 45 over his back shoulder Fluid path with big metrics at every event. Slight uphill and on-plane efficient stroke to hit! 76 mph bat speed with 13 G's of rotational acceleration.

Arm: LH. OF-82 mph. Arm works and plays one hop to the target. Can envision an upper 80's to 90 arm by 2028.

Defense: Gets solid reads and jumps for a freshman. Looks the part in the OF. Makes all the routinw with solid movement patterns.

ATH: 7.27 runner in the 60. Smooth running strides with improvements as his lower 1/2 strength kicks in.

Vizual Edge: 83.22 Edge Score

Reid Deede OF / OF / Springville, UT / 2025

Scouting Report: 2/22/25
Positional Profile: OF/OF
Body: 6-3, 194-pounds. Looks the part getting off the bus!

Defense: Okay jumps and reads and angles and nuances will improve with added reps and quality instruction
ATH: 6.85 runner in the 60. EZ runner that runs well for a physical corner OF. Can go 1st to 3rd and 1st to home on extra base hits
